Based on theoretical research as well as field tests, this paper reveals behaviorfeatures of mining pressure appearance and the performance of supports for fullymechanized longwall face in Ulan Moron Mine. Moreover, it explains the mechanism ofsupport failure during the stage of31401working face removal and the stage of31402working face first weighting. The findings provide guidance for type-selecting work of31403working face hydraulic support, solving a problem of mining pressure control inactual production. Depending on systematic analysis of features of working face minepressure from field tests data, the regular pattern of mine pressure is listed into stages:first weighting, fault-crossing, and end of panel. According to the test load of supportand rock column, the reasonable working resistance of31402working face support isestimated. And support adaptability is evaluated by researches made on workingcondition of supports. The conclusion above also guides the type selection of31403working face hydraulic supports.
