Taxonomy and systematic phylogeny of the family Diptilomiopidae (Acari:Eriophyoidea) in China was first studied. From 2004 to 2008. field surveys were conducted in twelve districts in mainland of China, there were more than 1400 specimens were collected. There were three new genera and thirty-four new species found and published in the doctoral studies. The proportion of these species in Diptilomiopidae was 18.6%.There were 35 genera.183 species were recorded in China from three Municipalities, nineteen Provinces and three Autonomous Regions, including one new genus, four new combinations and two new genera, thirty-four new species published. The hosts of these species included 173 species in 111 genera and 59 families. The keys to the family, subfamilies and genera (record in China) are shown. Thirty-four species which were collected and studied by the author were described and illustrated. All type specimens are deposited as slide mounted specimens in the Arthropod/Mite Collection of the Department of Entomology. Nanjing Agricultural University. The phylogenetic relationships of 60 genera of Diptilomiopidae (Acari:Eriophyoidea) were analyzed based on 56 morphological characters taken from the type species of each genus and two outgroup taxa (Eriophyes and Phyloptus). Analyses were based on maximum parsimony in PAUP 4.0b10 using both equally weighted and successive weighting procedures, the trees were analyzing in MacClade 4.06. The monophyly of Diptilomiopinae was recovered using parsimony analysis, except some genera of Diptilomiopinae out of this result. The paraphyly of Rhyncaphytoptinae was revealed by the analysis. The new taxon "Tribe" was first brought out in taxonomy of Diptilomiopidae. The existing subfamily classification was supported and nine new tribes were established from the phylogenetic analysis:Levongini+Diptilomiopini+Diptilorhynacini +Diptacini+Trimeroptini (Diptilomiopinae) and Hoderini+Cheiracini+ Rhyncaphytoptini+Stenarhynchini (Rhyncaphytoptinae).New genus:Parahoderus gen. nov. New combinations:Dipliloplaius dendrocalami (Kuang) comb. nov. on Dendrocalamus giganteus Munro (Gramineae). Neocatarhinus lingnaniae (Kuang & Feng) comb. nov. on Bambusa chungii McClure (Gramineae).
