Spatio-temporal Evolution And Promote Strategy For Competitiveness Of Ecotourism Destination

Tourism is one of the fastest growing economic sectors in the world. Ecotourism has attracted increasing attention in recent years, not only as an alternative to mass tourism, but as a means of economic development and environmental conservation.ecotourism has shown in recent years annual growth rates between 25% and 30% in comparrison to an annual growth of 4% in the tourism industry in general (WTO).Basing on former peoples'researches on competitive competence theory and ecotourism,using researching methods of synthesizing multi subjects,combining theory with practice,combining qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis,statistical nalysis,induction and deduction,the dissertation investigates profoundly the issue of ecotourism destination competitive competence.And tries to review and analyze the ecotourism destinations, to discover the mechanism that may affect the growth of the ecotourism destinations, and the driven mechanism of its'growth. This paper here takes the ecotourism destination of Lake Wanlu as an example to make a practical, and brings forward the strategy for its growth in the end.The whole paper has 9 chapters, and the main contents are as following:Chapter 1 is about the Presentation and design of the paper. Here, the author explained the background, the goals, the mainParts, and the researehing methods of the paper.Chapter 2 defined the basic concepts and reviewed the Chronological literature. In this part, the author defined the relevant concepts, and carded the researehing results of the ecotourism destination competitiveness both abroad and domestie.Chapter 3 collectively discussed the basic theories about the growth of the ecotourism destinations.and reviewed the growth history of some ecotourismd estinations in China. And then, the author summed up the Characteristies and affecting elements of the ecotourism destinations'life cycle.Chapter 4 identify and develop criteria and indicators for ecotourism destination based on the input of academic experts in the field as well as nature-based tour operators, The study was conducted through two rounds of the Delphi method.Chapter 5 The dissertation systematically analyses the source of ecotourism destination competitive competence;analysed and discussed the Factors pertaining to the competitiveness of both the destination's attractions and its tourism industry.Chapter 5 discovered the growth mechanism of ecotourism destinations, such as the growth power, growth model and the interaction among those ecotourism destinations. Chapter 7 studied ecotourism destination developing bases, mechanism, and tactics.Chapter 8 Taking the ecotourism destination of lake Wanlu as an example,the dissertation makes a practical research on results above.Chapter 9 is asummary of the whole paper. The dissertation systematically analyses the source of tourism competitive competence of ecotourism destination; according to the different importance of each factor,it differentiates these factors into two kinds:determination factors, support factors.and so on to Chinese ecotourism development, the dissertation builds a concept model about competitiveness of ecotourism destination, extends the knowledge space about the determinants and supports of ecotourism competitiveness, gets over the malpractice of not giving enough regard to environment factor of affecting ecotourism competitiveness.Then, from the point of economics, the dissertation probes into affecting mechanism of every determinant on ecotourism competitiveness.3.the author analyzed the growth mechanism of the ecotourism destinations,and classified the question of process evolution of the ecotourism destinations, And the author differentiated the driven forces of the ecotourism destinations as:the attractiveness of the nature resource protect as the core, the market demands as the premise, the government and local communities developing wishes as the pulling force, the tourism environment management as the guarantee.4.Through a lot of practical investigation and theoretic studies,this dissertation brings forward the appraisement elements and evaluation standards of tourism competitive competence of ecotourism destination,and compare similarities and differences between the two groups utilizing Spearman's statistic and create a point evaluation system. It constructs a systematical evaluation system of tourism competitive competence of ecotourism destination for the first time.5.It probes into the cultivation issue of tourism competitive competence of ecotourism destination and brings forward for the first time PDMI circular development mode, which is the cultivation mode of tourism competitive competenceof ecotourism destination, namely Environment Protection, Protective Development, Environment Management and Environment Protection Education Innovation circular development mode.6.the author taking the lake wanlu as ane xample, analyzed the developing foundation, driven force, and developing pattern of the region, and presented the counter measures for the competitive of the ecotourism destination in the end.
