Research On Sustainable Development Of Bauxite Resources Industry In China

Mineral resources are the important elements of both economic construction and the development of society. Aluminum is the second important metal in the world, which is widely used in the economic sectors. Aluminum industry obtained three links: at first, alumina is produced from bauxite; secondly, alumina is electrolyzed to aluminium; finally, aluminium is made into various profiles. In the world, bauxite reserves are rich and distribute widely, but relatively concentrated in certain areas and distributed unevenly. Many countries are lack of bauxite resources. China is relatively lack of bauxite resource. Compared with the advanced countries, the quality and guarantee ability of bauxite resources is insufficient in China, alumina production scale and further expansion is facing serious challenges; the expanding capacity of aluminium industry is facing a lot of challenge; the aluminum industry is excess and the industry structure needs adjustment; the products of aluminum industry are lack of competitiveness and need deepened processing.This paper uses the theory such as mineral resources, resource economics, the circulation economic, and sustainable development; includes the exploration and development of mineral resources, industry economy, regional development, trade policy, etc; processes and comprehensive analizes the original data; uses mathematical modeling, statistics, regression analysis, graph method, methods of comparative in analysis and studies.This paper studies the present situation of bauxite resources industry systematically. Through the resources situation, global aluminum industry and China aluminum industry, analyses the status quo of world bauxite resources and the aluminum industrial development in major countries. It researches several problems such as the competitiveness of bauxite resources industry, proposes circular economy industry development mode of bauxite resources and the countermeasure analysis for the industry sustainable development in China. To realize the sustainable development of bauxite resources industry, we should strengthen the following eight aspects: increasing macro-control, harmonizing industry structure; enhancing geological exploration work, improve supply security; strengthening the construction of system, regulating the management of mining; pay attention to industrial technology system, the cultivation innovation ability; developing industry to suit local conditions, draw up flexible regional policy; adhere to the strategy of international route, develop resources strategically; attach importance to talents cultivation, accomplish people-oriented policy; developing green cycle industrial economy, accord with the scientific development.
