| Is there being the correlated relationship between the extent of empowerment and business performance in enterprises? How to measure and implement the empowerment? How to acquire the actual effect in the process of implementing through a variety of management concepts and methods and lived through employees'psychology, attitude, capability and behaviors? How to implement market-oriented and achieve? These problems have not comprehensive answers in existence theoretic, and have important praxis significance. Although there is not correlated relationship in the on the surface, we should find the inherence relationship by integrated consideration and using the a key mediating variable---employee empowerment. It is the pivotal issue that opening out the relationship between empowerment and business performance.Therefore, based on the relationship between empowerment and business performance in enterprises, the paper focused the extension of the study, used marketing system as the specific object and established the main line about the relationship between Marketing System Empowerment(MSE) and Marketing Performance(MP). There is a assistant line that is the systematical empowerment. We put forward the conception of systematical empowerment, constructed the framework of systematical empowerment theory, exploited scales of the state and degree of enterprise overall empowerment. Furthermore, we introduced cause variable and intermediate variable, put forward the hypothesis, and constructed the conceptual framework of MSE and MP. We empirically tested the hypothesis employing the 576 samples from China, and the hypotheses were supported. Finally, we explained the complex relationship between MSE and MP.In particular, the pursers of this paper have five item. (1) constructed and tested the conceptual framework of MSE and MP, opened out the effect mechanism in principium; (2) conformed and inaugurated the existing empowerment system info, constructed the framework of systematical empowerment theory, which describes systemically the empowerment management process and the logical relationship. In succession, exploited scales of the state and degree of enterprise overall empowerment and applied into the experiment study of the relationship between MSE and MP; (3) tested the cause variable that is Marketing Orientation (MO) which has the observably positive effect on MSE, explored the effect mechanism between MO and MP on the angle of empowerment view and sleeked ask for the academic basis and the line of action; (4) provided more clarity the theoretical support and action-line for the process and methods of business marketing system; (5) based on the effect mechanism between empowerment and a number of elements, mouse out the thoughts and methods for upgrade the performing preferment and advancing the business performance.Thesis is divided into 7parts, every parts of the study are following:Part I: Introduction. Introduced the academic and managerial background, the research objectives, methodology, contents of study and research plan are brought forward.Part II: Literature Review. Reviewed the interrelated literature about the major research variables and the relationship of the correlative theory, and further clarify the research context, clear the research direction.Part III: Definite the Core Study variable and construct the theoretical model. Rounding the core variables, we put forward the conception of systematical empowerment, defined the connotation and constructed a framework of systematical empowerment theory, which describes systemically the empowerment management process and the logical relationship.Part IV: construct the relational model and put forward research hypothesis. Based on literature review and theoretical thought, used MSE and MP as independent variable and dependent variable, introduced MO, Marketing Innovative Capabilities (MIC) and Marketing Tactical Capabilities (MTC), put forward the relational model and research hypothesis. In the last of this chapter the exploratory study has tested the research model initially.Part V: Research Methodology and Implementation. exploited scales of research variables, designed the questionnaire, sampling methods and data analysis methods. This chapter also includes description of respondent profile and the chosen statistical analysis methodology.Part VI: Data analysis and interpretation. Based on research data, used the statistical analysis software, the assessment of reliability and validity of each variable are tested in this study by Cronbach's alpha and confirmatory factor analysis. And the hypotheses in this research have been tested by correlate analysis, linear regression analysis and structural equation modeling. Part VII: Conclusions and Discussion. Based on the results of data analysis, summarized the conclusions of research integration, contributions, limitations and future research. The findings and contributions of the thesis lie in five aspects.1. Put forward the concept of systematical empowerment and constructed the integrated framework. The study found that less than the degree of the systematism is the sticking point that caused the stagnation in the development of empowerment theoretic and practice. The comprehender on the connotation of empowerment should step up to the level of systematism and as a multi-dimensional, step-by-step process, a comprehensive variables cover empower environment, behavior and the psychology of employee empowerment. In succession, the paper put forward the framework of systematical empowerment theory. The framework explained the process of empowerment management, consist five dimensions and multi-factors, and opened out the logical links among the dimensions, speculate on the causes, results and accommodativeness of systematical empowerment. The framework is tested by the deep interview.2. Exploited scales of systematical empowerment. The framework brought forward the structure and be validated by the exploration. On the basis of these, the paper exploited the scales of systematical empowerment, formed the scales of five dimensions contained 20 items. The scales were used in the empirical research on the relationship between MSE and MP. The results of the research showed that there were higher internal consistency and reliability, adapted to the empirical researches.3. Opening out the relationship between MSE and MP. The paper constructed the framework of MSE and MP, tested the hypothesis employing the 576 samples from China by correlate analysis, linear regression analysis and structural equation modeling. The model was tested and modified, shown in Figure 1. The main conclusions among the variables include: (1) MSE has a indirect impact on MP, and Marketing Innovative Capabilities (MIC) and Marketing Tactical Capabilities (MTC) as intermediate variable; (2) MSE has a direct impact on MIC, and has indirect impact on MIC by the intermediate of MIC; (3) Marketing Orientation (MO) is the cause variable of MSE, has a positive and indirect impact on MP by the intermediate variables; (4) MO has positive impact on MIC and MTC, include direct and indirect impact; (5) MIC has a positive, direct impact on MTC, and has indirect impact on MP by the intermediate role of MTC, MTC has direct positive impact on MP.4. Modify the scales of the variables in the model of the relationship between MSE and MP and empirical testing. The paper includes four variables(MO, MIC, MTC, MP), there are the mature scales for consulting. Based on the framework and the connotation of the existing scales, We modified the existing scales, and the testing results shown the higher internal consistency and better reliability.5. the statistical research on Chinese enterprises. In this study, based on the survey data, we appraised the exhibition on five variables in Chinese enterprises, opened out several praxis problems.The innovation of this study was reflected in the theoretical and the methods. The theoretical dimension on innovation include: (1) according to the lack of the extent of systematic, we put forward a model of new integrated empowerment management framework, breach the bottle-neck that restrict the empowerment theoretic and practical development; (2) use marketing system as the specific object, build a relational model on marketing system and MP, opened out the effect mechanism on the relationship between empowerment and MP; (3) exploited a new scales of Marketing System Empowerment, provided a new research tool for the quantitative empirical studies of empowerment; (4) explained the connotation of MO, MIC, MTC and MP, put forward a series of innovative amendments, and modified the scales, provided a new research tools for future theoretic study. These studies on the relationship among the variables gained a number of valuable discoveries in more depth revealed.Research Methods in the level of innovation include: (1) we adopt normative methods and process for designing the model, constructing and modifying the scales; (2) as the methods of data analysis, we use the more advanced methods, such as, SEM, multiple stepwise regression techniques, tested the relationship between multi-variable; (3) In the design of the questionnaire, in order to improve the quality of research, we innovate the overall structure, scale forms, questionnaires visual experience; (4) in the sample design, according to the content we innovate the research methods.The conclusions of this study have important signification: (1) integrated the theoretical framework and innovated the research tools, breakthrough the bottleneck and broaden the research perspective, drive the development of empowerment management theory. (2) by constructed the framework of MSE and MP, open out the effect mechanism between them, answered the key problem why need empower and how to empower, driven the development of empowerment theory; (3) validated the relationship between MO and MSE, opened out the positive impact between MO and MP, and the others variables, describe the effect mechanism between MO and MP, answered the key question that how to implement MO, perfect the MO theory; (4) by exploring the connotation of MIC, MTC and MP, measuring the variables and study the relationship between them, contribute the future research.The conclusions have important signification in management practice: (1) confirmed the positive impact of MSE to MP, emphasize the role of implementing empowerment; (2) opened out the process and methods of implementing empowerment by the numbers, answered the key question how to empower and step up the general and schematics; (3) opened out the effect mechanism between MSE and MP, provided a effectively path to implement empowerment; (4) opened out the effect mechanism between MO and MP, validated that it is a important way that implement empowerment and upgrade MP, provided a path to implement MO and upgrade MP. |
