Entrepreneurship is impetus of a nation's development and progress, it is the entrepreneurs that create wealth, and use their wisdom, talent and spirits booming the economics. Even more delightfully, women enterprising is flourishing globally, and in China, more and more women star their own business, which has been one of the important driving forces of the growth of the economy. A society is more progressive, more emphasized the female develops; more emphasized the feminine social role and the family role unification. ecause the female is undertaking the task of descendant multiplication and the society develops, the historical development requests the female to go out of the family, moves into the society, to undertake the certain social responsibility, realizing their own value. Therefore, every woman has played a dual role of the family and society - wife, mother, in addition to a social life. Regarding women entrepreneurs, the coordinated transformation of "family role" and "social role" is a remarkable problem. Because conflicts among multiple roles bring the very tremendous influence on their enterprises, the family life, the health, the social activities, and so on. So, how to balance the family and the entrepreneuring, is not only a more prominent question to female, but also a key aspect. The paper aimed at exploring the work-family balance system of female entrepreneurs and its action mechanism, from a work-family interacting and fitting angle. Four studies were designed and conducted to uncover the mechanism of action.Study 1 is to construct the key concept—work-family balance of female entrepreneurs, by means of depth interviewing method. Based on literature reviewing, the researcher conducted depth interviewing to 18 female entrepreneurs on connotative meaning of work-family balance and its impact. The interviewing course was recorded by text. Based on the content analysis, it came up with the construct of work-family balance of women entrepreneurs. The results indicated that the work-family balance of women entrepreneurs is composed of value identity, resource sharing, and role moderation. It is a person-environment fitted, systematic and dynamic construct.Study 2 aimed at validating the construct in study 1 mainly. After experts discussing, testing and revising, repeatedly, the researcher developed measurement tool for following research. EFA and CFA findings showed that work-family balance of women entrepreneurs had 3 dimensions, and the dimensions correlated each other. The average variances extracted (AVE) by the dimensions' measures and their contrast to correlations among dimensions revealed the 3-dimension construct had good convergent validity and discriminant validity. Correlation analysis at dimension level between work-family balance of women entrepreneurs and work-family conflict and work-family enrichment revealed the 3-dimentioned construct had good nomological validity. And work-family balance of women entrepreneurs correlated to job satisfaction and life satisfaction, which showed predictive validity to criterion. The findings showed that 3-dimentioned construct of work-family balance of women entrepreneurs is a reliable and stables construct. In study 3, two sub-studies are conducted. In case study, 3 cases were selected. By means of case depiction and analysis, its came up with modes of work-family balance of women entrepreneurs based on the 3-dimentioned construct. Vision-oriented mode based on value identity, benefit-oriented mode based on resource sharing, and relation-oriented based on role moderation. And different mode has different effects on performance during different enterprising stages. The findings provide some evidence for constructing the female entrepreneurs' work-family balance mechanism stage model. In the subsequent questionnaire study, the researcher compared the three modes effects in three stages of enterprising. Findings show that, in starting stage, vision-oriented mode and benefit-oriented mode have more prominent impact on performance, in developing stage, the effect of benefit-oriented mode is weaker than former stage though exerting on performance, in developed stage, the effect of benefit-oriented mode is more weaker, vision-oriented mode and relation-oriented mode are more active. In a long run, vision-oriented mode is the most predictive mode.Based above studies, last study aimed at constructing and validating the function mechanism mode of work-family balance of women entrepreneurs. Data were obtained from 154 women entrepreneurs in Zhejiang province, Shanghai, Beijing, Xi'an, Taiyuan. The function mechanism of work-family balance of women entrepreneurs were examined through structure equation modeling. Findings show work satisfaction and social network mediated the relations between work-family balance of women entrepreneurs, which were buffered by conscientiousness and achievement motivation. And in different stages, the function processes have different paths. Stages of enterprising have moderating effects on it.This paper studied the function mechanism of work-family balance system of women entrepreneurs, standing on a work-family interact and work-family fit point view. Based on fit theory, the research try to construct and validate work-family balance of women entrepreneurs. According to a dynamic developing thinking, explore the modes of work-family balance of women entrepreneurs, and research the function mechanism of work-family balance affecting performance. This paper tries to raise some suggestions for development of women entrepreneurs.Lastly, the theoretical progress and practical implications were discussed, as well as the limitations of these studies and the suggestions for future research.
