While having growth miracle, China's high economic growth has some failure that the growth was mainly motivated by high investment and high consumption rather than technological innovation. The rough growth mode which sacrifices resource and environment is unsustainable. The third plenary session of the 16th central committee of the communist party of China put forward to set up scientific development view and emphasize improving the ability of self-initiated innovation of China. In this scenario, the study on sustainable development in this dissertation is undoubtedly of strong theoretical and practical meanings. The dissertation studies on sustainable development based on endogenous growth theory from macroeconomic view. The main instrument of endogenous growth theory is dynamic optimization. Hamilton Function represents overall profit prospect decided by all kinds of policies and it takes account the present and future effects, that mean Hamilton Function actually considers the balance of present and future profits. So, endogenous growth theory provides with a preferable research method when we emphasize the sustainability of economic growth. The main work of endogenous growth theory is the endogeneses of technological innovation. In this dissertation, I synthesize endogenous growth models firstly and reveal the making mechanism of technological innovation from macro-level. Then I discuss technological issues, population issues, resource and environment issues that related with sustainable growth based on endogenous growth models. This dissertation does some expanded studies based on past ones and has some innovation points of view including:â‘ using a united model to systematically explain the making mechanism of technological innovation by synthesizing endogenous growth models according to the characteristics of technological knowledge;â‘¡revealing important effects of technological innovation on sustainable development by introducing the bindings of resource and environment into endogenous models containing human resources capital, horizontal product innovation and vertical product innovation;â‘¢paying much attention to mutual responding and supplement between micro-economic and macro-economic analyses though this dissertation analyzes policies related with sustainable development from macro-level;â‘£paying much attention to using models to analyzes issues of sustainable development comparing with other domestic studies. The main contents of this dissertation are as follows:Chapter 1 is the introduction. It introduces the backgrounds and meanings of the topic. It recalls some related materials and explains writing thoughts and structures.Chapter 2 is about synthesizing studies of endogenous growth models. In this chapter, I use accumulation and substitution of technological knowledge as clues to synthesize endogenous growth models. I systematically explain how to make technological innovation from macro-level by using a model containing human resources capital, knowledge spillover, horizontal product innovation and vertical product innovation.Chapter 3 is about the study on technological innovation based on endogenous growth. In Section 1, I use horizontal product innovation model and vertical product innovation model to analyze foundation researches and application researches. The conclusion is that resource allocated fully by markets may cause insufficient investment in foundation researches and insufficient or excess investment in application researches. In Section 2, I analyze the motives and strategies of R&D of corporations from micro-level, and further explain Schumpeter innovation assumptions. The study in Section 2 is the micro-basis of Section 1 and Chapter 3. At the same time, the forgoing study and the study in Section 2 can supply with each other to form a theoretic system to fully explain the making mechanism of technological innovation. In Section 3, I use the theory to analyze the existing issues of technological innovation in China and put forward some countermeasures.Chapter 4 is about the binding of resource and environment and endogenous growth. In this chapter, the binding of resource and environment are introduced into the endogenous growth models simultaneously to reveal the meanings of technological innovation on sustainable development. Technological innovation, cleanness of production technology, and low consumption make sustainable economic growth possible. The conclusions of above model further reveal the factors that influence sustainable economic growth. Because environment issues usually have negative exteriority, in this chapter, I discuss the economic measures that can get over the negative exteriority from microeconomic point of view to ensure the economic sustainable development.Chapter 5 is about population growth and population policy based on endogenous growth theory. In this chapter, the variable of endogenous population growth rate is introduced into endogenous growth model. Firstly, the model reveals that there is the relationship of inverted-U shape between population growth rate and economic development. Secondly, this dissertation further discusses the influence of population growth on economic growth. Lastly, the dissertation makes some suggestions on China's population policy. Chapter 6 is the dissertation conclusions and research expectations. This chapter makes the conclusions of this dissertation; explains some innovation points of view; indicates some insufficient points in the study and the di:â…£ion; and makes expectations on the possibledevelopment directions of the topic in this dissertation. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Endogenous Growth, Sustainable Development, Technological Innovation, Environmental Pollution | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
