Because of multitudinous factors, traditional shipping always has been divided factitiously into river and sea, which are relatively close cycles respectively. Nowadays, cargo owners demand more and more rapid and logistical services to shipping. Then, the pattern that river and sea shipping are unattached is broken gradually. Being the joint of sea and river, sea-river shipping is preferred to cargo owners for its advantage in saving transferring cost, decreasing cargo damage and cargo loss, shortening shipping period and fastening capital turnover. The prosperity of sea-river shipping market promotes the development of the shipping and area economic. No matter domestically or overseas, sea-river shipping develop rapidly, which shows that sea-river shipping is one of the most important ways to be seasoned with the market demand. So there is a widely application foreground in the research of dry-bulk-cargo shipping, which is a mainly shipping way in sea-river shipping. Facing increasingly complex market competition, shipping company must evaluate the benefit of each type of shipping capacity roundly and accurately. Then the further development direction of every enterprises can be decided rightly. Therefore, how to expand its shipping capacity efficiently and advance sea-river shipping benefits are the key problem that every shipping company needs being solved.Due to every type of shipping capacity having different adapting ability to the sea-river shipping, it produces different benefit. There are many factors which effect the shipping capacity's benefits, this paper uses "competitive capacity", this term, to represent all the effecting factors synthetically, in order to reflect the essence of "shipping capacity benefit". Different shipping manners and ship types are put into uncertain interior and exterior environments, the shipping competitive capacity of every shipping manner is analyzed entirely. The analyzing results, which direct shipping companies how to decide right shipping structure and enhance the whole enterprise' economic benefits, have significant meanings.Because multi-attribute decisions are discrete, most of the decision problems in real life are multi-attribute problems. Since then, the research of correlative theories and methods has more practical values. Multi-attribute problems exist abroad in the society, economic, manage domain, etc, such as investment decision, project evaluation, factory site selection, resource allotment, person with ability assessment, economic benefit apprise, etc. Hereby, the theories and methods of multi-attribute decision has expansive application foreground.Normally, uncertain phenomenon exist in decision making analysis, which are divided into randomicity and fuzziness mostly. A lot of facts show that the decision procedures in the ship engineer domain are more uncertain. So there are many random and fuzzy factors that need being treated with. Owing to the limit of the present analyzing method and technic, the simplified disposal has to be used when such complicated problems as uncertain multi-attribute decision making problems are affronted. However, this action will effect the reliability of decision results directly. Consequently, some special disposing methods that are different form traditional method are needed for more and more uncertain decision problems. This paper emerges as the times require under this background.This paper provides useful theory and application research for many uncertain multi-attribute decision making problem in ship engine through analyzing an intact set of uncertain multi-attribute decision making models and corresponding calculation methods. In this way, the decision works in ship engine and other domain are simplified, the final decision result's accuracy is improved and accords with real situation. Aiming at the no -integrality of the evaluation index system of sea-rive ships (barges) for transport capacity, this paper sets up an intact, all-around and systematic evaluating index system. Aiming to the many uncertain variables exist in transport capacity adjustment and transport manner selection, this paper analyzes the uncertainty of evaluation attribute values and weight coefficients, providing the corresponding resolve methods. On this basis, the uncertain multi-attribute decision making methods are studied systematically, which are fuzzy, random and fuzzy random multi-attribute decision making methods. Also, the transport capacity of the sea-river ships (barges) is evaluated in this paper. The purpose of all of these study is to offer the powerful theories for synthetical appraising the transport capacity of ships (barges). Meanwhile, this paper puts forward the effective random fuzzy multi-attribute decision making method for the fuzzy and random variables co-existing phenomena in the ship engine domain. These series researches are aiming to drive the application of uncertain multi-attribute decision making methods in the ship engine domain, fill up the blank of this aspect in the national country. In this paper, the doughtily maneuverable and universal calculation flat is provided also. For the lack of researches and applications of uncertain multi-attribute decision making in the ship engine domain, intact research theories and methods are afforded.There are 8 chapters in this paper. The first chapter is an introduction. In this section, the research development and develop trend of uncertain multi-attribute decision making, AHP and sea-river dry bulk carriers (barges) are introduced. In the second chapter, the normal methods of evaluation methods for the transport capacity of sea-river dry bulk carriers (barges) are discussed. In the normal methods, generally for the decision information, evaluating index attribute values and weight coefficients are disposed as certain variables. Apparently, this kind of simplification can reflect real situation, which produces wrong decisions. The third chapter is the uncertain analysis for the transport capacity of sea-river dry bulk carriers (barges). In this chapter, the uncertain analysis of attribute values and weight coefficients are given. The interval expression of weights, fuzzy variables and the probability function of random variables are discussed. For the fourth to the sixth chapter, the evaluation methods and applications of ship transport economic benefits that have uncertain factors are debated. Besides, applying examples are given for detailed discussions. The seventh chapter is the synthetic evaluation for the transport capacity of sea-river dry bulk carriers (barges). In this paper, the dry bulk transport of the one certain shipping company is the background for the analyzing. The final comparing results are obtained. In the last chapter, the conclusion and the further research that needs to be made are given.
