Students On The Public Ownership Within A Market Economy

Socialist mode of production is an objective stage in the development of the economic formation of human society. As a social organism, it inherits the elements of market economy included in the capitalist mode of production, which can promote the development of the forces of production, and which is regarded as a general achievement of human civilization, and substitutes public basis for its private foundation. So it can overcome the intrinsic conflicts in the capitalist mode of production and promote the development of social forces of production. Such a social organism is what we called socialistic public ownership, which, essentially, is socialistic public capitalist or socialistic market economy.In order to researching socialist formation of economy, we must accept the basic principles of historical materialism and Das Kapital as our theoretical guides, and use the method of the combination of history-analysis and logic-analysis. The premises of socialistic public ownership theory are the public ownership of the means of production and the individual ownership of labor force, which is based on the principle of human's liberty and development. Such an ownership of the factors of production determines the mode of combination of the means of production and the labor force, and determines mostly the characteristics of socialistic production.As the socialistic mode of distribution of the means of individual consumption, the essence of distribution-according-to-everyone's-labor is equity. The principle of equitable distribution is the first principle of the distribution of the means of individual consumption.
