R&D globalization is the highest type of economic globalization. It is the result of the production and trade globalization. The Multinational Companies (MNCs) only start their international R&D activities after they have globalized their trade, investment and production. The R&D globalization has very important influences to the host countries, especially to the developing countries.The research on the effects of R&D globalization of MNCs to the host countries has been a hot discussing topic in last 30 years. Many scholars have analyzed the economic and technological influences of MNCs to their mother and the host countries, specifically, on the technology transfer and spillover to the host countries. But, because the inter-country investment was started between the developed countries, most of the studies were also focus on developed countries, for instance, the analysis of Caves on Australia (Caves, 1974), the analysis of Globerman on Canada (Globerman, 1979), and so on. After 1980s, more and more scholars started to analyze how do the developing countries, as the host country, being influenced by MNCs in the trend of R&D globalization.In 1980s, the studies mainly focus on Mexico and India. for instance, Blosmstrom & Persson(1983),Blomstrom & Wolff(1989) were all focus on...
