The Research In Formation Mechanism And Regulation Of Industrial Spatial Structure Of The City-group In The Middle And Southern Part Of Liaoning Province

Regional economic integration is a main trend in the world's economic development today.The core of the regional economic integration is the economic complement and cooperation,while its form is the progression of comprehensive opening-up and interaction. Since ourcountry's reform and opening-up, the economy in the coastal areas has developed very fast.Under the stimulation of regional economic integration, three big city-group——Yangtze RiverDelta, Pearl River Delta, the group of Beijing, Tianjing, and Tangshan as a whole etc. ---wasformed. Economic distribution has changed greatly after so many years' development ofregional economy;different regions are inter-dependant and they develop together. city-groupindustries in the middle and southern part of Liaoning are complementary and are similar ingeography, which provides natural basis and conditions for the implementation of integrateddevelopment;in addition, the implementation of the strategy of rejuvenating the northeast oldindustrial base offers an excellent opportunity for it. Therefore, a series of idea-switch,regime-change, counter-move measure and planning guide are badly needed to integrateresources so as to promote the mutual development of cities' and regional economy.The thesis is based on the Regional Economics and on the economic development reality ofthe city-group in the middle and southern part of Liaoning;the theories of the modern regionalindustry-distribution, the combined approach between theoretical analyses and empirical studiesare applied;the mechanism of how the space structure of the city-group industry in the middleand southern part of Liaoning is examined in depth;the basic evolutionary trend of the spacestructure of the city-group industry in the middle and southern part of Liaoning are grasped inmind;the thesis proposes that, in order to rejuvenate the economy of the middle and southernpart of Liaoning in the old industrial base, overall planning, rational distribution,advantage-utilization should be done to reduce the economic gap with the developed regions inthe East. The whole thesis is divided by three parts ——introduction, body and conclusion.In the introduction part, the background of the thesis, domestic and abroad, is analyzed andthe academic value and practical significance of studying this subject are pointed out.Meanwhile, the train of thought of this thesis is illustrated and the relevant approaches in writingthis thesis are described. There are five chapters in the main body. Chapter one and chapter two are the basic part ofthe thesis. In chapter one, some critical concepts are firstly explained, then the basic theoreticalanalysis of the industrial space structure of the city-group is analyzed;finally typical structuralfeatures of foreign city-group industrial space is compared analytically, in which key points ofstrategic reference is found. In chapter two, the structural evolution and planning mechanism ofcity-group industrial space are presented, mainly from the aspects of region types, evolutionaryand planning mechanisms. The first two chapters, as the basic theory part, lay solid foundationfor and thus support the later part of the thesis.Chapter three, four and five are the core of the thesis. Chapter three begins with the search for theevolutionary track of the industrial space structure of the city-group in the middle and southern part ofLiaoning, on the basis of which the current features of industrial space structure of the city-group in themiddle and southern part of Liaoning are analyzed, existing problems identified and developing trend ofthe industrial space structure in that region predicted. In chapter four, the evolutionary mechanism of theindustrial space structure of the city-group are elaborated, mainly from the aspects of resourceendowment and region-combination, industrial structural evolution and escalation, industrial assemblingand spreading, inter-regional relations, industrial organization and the background mechanism of the newage, etc. based on chapter three and four, chapter five proposes the industrial space structural planningpolicies for the city-group in the middle and southern part of Liaoning, determines the planning goals,finds out the planning path and puts forward the planning measures in the end.In the concluding part, based upon summarizing the body, related contents are generalizedand the shortcomings of the study are recognized from the actual study condition;furthermore,related problems are forecast, so as to make the further study more rational, more perfect andmore systematic.
