Transport, as a major role of the logistics activities, of which cost accounts for35%-50%of total logistics costs and4%-10%of commodity prices, plays an important part in modern logistics services. China's transportation industry has made a great improvement since the reform and opening up. To some extent, rail transport tensions get relieved, and road and sea transport has been greatly ameliorated. Moreover, air transport could basically meet the social demand, which all contribute to the guarantee for social development. Freight transportation services consist of a variety of characteristics which accordingly meet different demands. Aiming to save costs, enhance competitiveness of enterprises and reduce logistics costs for the whole society, comprehensive analysis for those correlative and mutual restraint factors must be taken into consideration. Under this condition, this dissertation starts from the perspective of behavioral analysis, analyzing freight transportation mode choice with three different acts from stakeholders. The main works and conclusions of this dissertation are as follows:1) On the basis of the analyzing different advantages and disadvantages of freight transportation mode as well as its technical and economic characteristics, influencing factors of freight transportation mode choice will be discussed from three views of macroscopic, the middle, and microcosmic.2) After analyzing the mechanism of freight transportation mode choice, consignors, carriers and transportation managers are considered as the stakeholders of freight transportation mode choice, and whose objectives are respectively analyzed; afterwards, psychology, mechanisms and process of stakeholders'decision-making are discussed; finally, a review of utility theory is presented, utility analysis can be considered as the basis of freight transportation mode choice issue, which establishes the theoretical basis for relative models of freight transportation mode choice.3)Based on the risk preference theory and the consignor preferences, consignors can be divided into three types which are risk-taking, risk-neutral and risk-averse; besides, six properties respectively are transportation costs, transportation time, transportation reliability, transportation punctuality, transportation safety and transportation convenience form an attribute set. Therefore, a multi-attribute decision model is obtained based on risk preference theory. Moreover, the weight is decided by Least Squares Combination method and results can be worked out by ELECTRE-â…¡ model; finally, the model is tested by empirical studies of freight transportation mode choice for container, coal and ore cargo from Chongqing to Shanghai.4) After analyzing the mechanism of Game theory applied to freight transportation mode choice, the objective function of consigner and carrier as well as the relationship between carrier motivate behavior and freight transportation mode choice are discussed. Based on carrier motivate behavior, Stackelberg Game model for freight transportation mode choice is established, which can be solved by the Best Response Dynamic Genetic Algorithm Method, and empirical research is put forward.5) Double-Layer Game theory is applied to freight transportation mode choice to analyze its feasibility; aiming to maximize social benefit with consideration of interrelationship among stakeholders, a Double-Layer Game theory model based on consignors, carriers and transportation managers; Variational Inequalities and Quasi Variational Inequalities are introduced to transform the model so as to solve it with Gap Function method and Augmented Lagrange Penalty Function Algorithm.Based on the behavior analysis of consignors, carriers and transportation managers, a quantitative research is introduced to quantize the issue of freight transportation mode choice. A scientific basis is provided for freight transportation mode choice which has a realistic meaning for improving freight transportation efficiency and its social benefits. |
