The Guilin karst area is located to the inner eastern side of "å±±" type construction system of Guangxi, which it belongs to the Guilin arc tectonic sub-belts of south-north tectonic belt of eastsouthern Guangxi. There have the dissolution landscape of karst Fenglin forest, Fengcong depression of the largest, most typical tropical lowland karst landscape in the world. People had created abundant historical culture here, and then composed a beautiful, marvelous nature and culture landscape together with the karst landscape, field, and river. Many people have been attracted and have visited in the past years. The fragile ecological system of karst is facing with the giant challenge accompanying the entrance of numberless non-local people and requirement of local habitant surviving.This dissertation proposed a classification and evaluation for the distribution characteristics of Guilin karst ecotourism resources depending on the comprehensive analysis and research foundation. Then, more scientific, reasonable projects and countermeasures were brought up to the tourism resources usage and development of tourism production, through comprehensively analyzing and researching, and considering systematically the special "C" shape.Below is the general conclusion of the dissertation:1. Studying systematically the formation and characteristics of geological features of the whole Guilin karst area, reclassifying the ecotourism resource, which is divided into three main categories, seven middle categories, twenty-four small categories.2. Putting firstly the whole Guilin karst area as the research object of ecotourism, quantitative evaluating comprehensively the ecotourism resources of every zone using the AHP method and PRIM model, and studying the strengths and questions of the karst area.3. Analyzing and summarizing systematically the current strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of ecological tourism development of Guilin karst area. Based on the comprehensively considering the balance of ecological system and human-land relation, distribution characteristics of landscape, system of existing foundation service, the dissertation proposed firstly the karst area need to be developed as a whole system by the basic ideas of urban and rural development, overall arrangement and common development. In other words, relying on the urban and rural construction, there would build the tourism basic services system composition of "city, downtown, town,village, point, and section", form the construct shape of "one core, one cycle, two hearts, three belt, and five district", build perfect tourism transportation system, improve the convenient, scientific, systematic tourism identification system, construct the ecotourism production system of four levels made by sightseeing levels, enjoyment level, experience level and cognitive level based on natural ecological experience tour, cognitive ecological expedition and popular science tour, which make the local conditions and customs of karst landscape as the main image and the natural tourism products as the foundation.4. Putting forward innovatively the idea of implementing the united development and scientific management in the whole Guilin karst area as a natural and cultural heritage unity. Carrying out exploratory management research of four main interest part of the karst ecosystem, which is ecotourist, ecotourism operators, local habitant and government, under conducting of ecology and sustainable theory. Proposing relevant management measures by using the public management and strategic management theories, specially, and the ideas of managing ecological environment protection and ecotourism development, which respective ecotourism management committee was built up.
