OBS technology is a great potential optical switching technology, and is expected to become the core of switching technology for the Next Generation Optical Network(NGON). Access Network which connects with the users directly is an important part of communication networks, and will be a focus on communication study in the future. To make the use of network resources reasonably, optimize network performance, increase network capacity and reduce network operating costs, this paper provide research basis of technology achievability and the work in Post IP Network era with the study on the key technology of OBS network and conjunctional problems about fast bandwidth adaptability network.With the help of the latest research progress on communication networks and the classic network technology, the author studies the OBS networks and optical fiber access network deeply, finds out some imperfect results in the two networks. The author also studies the key technology of OBS and the new optical fiber access network FBA deeply, especially gives some new results in the integration of the two networks technology.The details of this paper are in the following:1. The author introduces wavelength routing algorithm in the field of graphic optical network into the routing strategy of OBS network. For the OBS network which contains multi-core nodes with all wavelength and partial wavelength conversion capacity, the author gives an approximate optimized path algorithm - RFC algorithm.2. For different network load, the author uses different burst assembly threshold. According to real-time network parameters (such as packet losing rate), the author adjusts the dynamic burst convergence threshold, and gives a new mixed clustering algorithm as an improvement of OBS clustering algorithm.3. The author makes use of error-correcting coding and interleaving technology in OBS network, and shows a new solution of bursting mechanism.4. By studying TCP over OBS, the author establishes a theoretical model, and gives a new structure of the edge nodes and a new ACK retransmission mechanism.5. In order to support Post-IP over DWDM, the author shows a new optical fiber access network technology, called fast bandwidth adaptive access network (FBA) based on circuit mode. The author also studies the relativity and feasibility of FBA and OBS, and achieves the design of simulation platform.
