With the development of theories and technologies of compute graphics, the technology of graphics rendering goes deep into main fields of human being's production and life such as design, entertainment, science and etc. On the same time, the progressive society keeps challenging the technologies of graphics rendering on various aspects: more realistic, higher speed, complex scene dataset, higher display size and resolution and so on. So, by introducing theories and methods of paralle computing into the filed of graphics processing, the parallel rendering became an important technology to implement high performance graphics rendering.Personal computer (PC) is becoming more and more powerful in graphics processing with high speed development of more than twenty years. Nowadays, Parallel graphics rendering systems based on PC cluster become hotspot. It has many advantages such as higher ratio of performance and price, more flexible and scalable.This dissertation makes contribution on three aspects to the research of parallel graphics rendering system based on PC cluster.First, parallel rendering architure, the core item of parallel rendering system, is researched. Traditionally, parallel rendering architure can be categorized into three classes, sort-first, sort-middle and sort-last, by means of multiple rendering pipelines are organized. Parallel rendering systems based on PC cluster usually adopt sort-first and sort-last architectures, or hybrid one. This dissertation proposes a hybrid adaptive architure based on dynamic rendering team. Dynamic rendering team acts as the basic rendering unit of the paralle rendering architecture, and it is composed of multiple PC nodes, including a master and various numbers of slaves. The dynamic rendering teams work under the parallel rendering workflow of sort-first architecture. And in the team itself, the master switches the workflow between sort-first and sort-last by conditions in order to chase higher performance. The switch is processed adaptively which reflects the characteristics of hybrid adaptive architure.Second, the dissertation proposes SceneFramework which is a scene organization supporting hetero-generic data structures.
