Wavelet theory has been wildly used in the fields of signal processing, data com-pression, quantum physics, numerical analysis and pattern recognition et al. Multi-wavelets are the develop of wavelet theory. Multiwavelets are produced by two or morethan two scaling functions. Orthogonal, symmetrical and compactly supported are im-portant properties in signal processing and it was proved that scalar wavelet with realcoefficients can not have them simultaneously but multiwavelets can do. And we canconstruct all kinds of them for their more degree of freedom. Multiwavelets keep theadvantages of scalar wavelet and overcomes the shortcoming of scalar wavelet at thesame time. Multiwavelets are developing rapidly in recent years. The develop of wavelet and multiwavelet theory brings on the develop of biolog-ical recognition technology. In age of electronic information we need a more conve-nient and effective identity verification technology. Biological recognition technologymakes use of the inherent physiological or behavioral characteristics of human beingsto identify individuals. Due to the unique, stable and live physiological properties ofthe iris and non-invasive to users, most stable and reliable for identification in practicalapplications of iris-based system, iris recognition is receiving extensive attention andbecoming an active topic in Biological recognition technology. One of the cores of iris recognition technology is the analysis and expression of...
