The emerging technology of ultra wide-band (UWB) high-speed indoor wireless communication has attracted worldwide attention. With the merits of high data rate, low system power cost and multi-path immunity, compared with general narrow band wireless communication systems, UWB has became one of the most competitive and promising technologies in the near future. Theoretical researches and simulation experiments are done in this paper about a few of key problems in UWB wireless communication of pulse waveform design, channel measurement and synchronization algorithm. Main contents and innovation points in this paper are as follows:Firstly, basic concepts and principles of UWB wireless communication systems are introduced. Basic concepts such as multi-access mode and modulation methods are as necessary preparation of later deep discussion. The development history, current research and main problems researchers from different country facing are also briefly summarized.Secondly, a new pulse waveform design in UWB wireless communication systems are put forward. Pulse transmission waveform optimization design under the emission limitations mask from Federal Communications Commission can increase frequency spectrum efficiency and improve performance to some extend. Based on introduction of some pulse waveform currently used, promote a new waveform design based on Legendre polynomials. This scheme has merits of rich numbers, flexible parameter adjust and match with FCC emission mask well.Thirdly, a new deconvolution algorithm, R-CLEAN algorithm, in UWB wireless channel measurement is promoted. Channel measurement is the basis and precondition of statistic channel model. The applied area of statistic channel model is a kind of specific channel environment statistic measurement is taken.
