The goal of semantic web is to extend the widely used WWW to make informationinclude semantic and can be understood and automatically disposed of by computer, and tomake the interaction between human and computer convenient. By adding semantic toknowledge and resource sharing to fulfill semantic based resource sharing is a trend in theregion of knowledge sharing research. Data are treated as data objects with semantic in this thesis, and data dynamic distribution,physical independence and flexible data access policy are achieved through semantic baseddata object access. Meanwhile, storage resource is also defined as entities of storage space withsemantic and special property and is defined as storage object that can be dynamically foundand shared. A loosely coupled data and storage sharing system are built up by these means.Data objects and their semantic were analyzed, and a model for semantic based data objectaccess was setup up. Combining storage resource with semantic and object was also discussed,and a unified access mode for data and storage was constructed. Dynamic distribution of data object, dynamic data object retrieval and access by semantic tofulfill data management, storage sharing algorithm and policy by way of semantic based datacomposition were discussed, which is a method to reach the reliability, availability and accessproperty for data in dynamic environment. Semantic based storage network for P2P system and how to complete semantic basedresource access and data storing were studied, which make up a semantic based data unifiedaccess and a read-writable P2P network for data and storage space sharing, and changed theread only access mode for currently using P2P networks. Method of utilizing multiple copies of data object was presented to match data accessrequirement for performance, reliability and availability. A cache management frame wasdiscussed to raise the management efficiency and the effect of cache replacement algorithm. Finally, the dynamic matching of different semantic description methods was discussed anda semantic based logging system was presented to fulfill dynamic matching of semantics.System architecture for data object and storage object sharing system was presented and aprototype for the system was partially developed, and the components were described toexplain the functions. The problems that have not been solved in the current research and thetopics that should be studied in the future were pointed out.
