Research On Multi-frame Postprocessing Algorithm Based On Images Of Laser Active Imaging

The traditional photoelectric imaging systems are passive imaging systems which are based on images , used to detect,surveillance,search,rescue,measure etc.. The kind imaging system depends on reflective natural light or self radiation of the target, imaging by faint signal gathered by imaging device, has no additional illuminator to illuminate the target, and has excellent covert ability.But in below work environment and work area, the advantages of traditional passive imaging systems get severe challenge, even some problem is inextricable. 1. under the condition of pitchblack night and bad visibility, the passive imaging systems can't detect faint target in long range even used most sensitive receiver. 2. under condition of no difference in temperature between target and background, even the infrared imaging system don't work properly. The examples of targets that have thermal equilibrium with background are ship's name,tail tag of plane and license tag of auto etc..3. imaging in strong scattering medium, the strong scattering medium such as moist atmosphere with strong smog and water. Affected by strong scattering medium, the faint target in long range is difficult to detected by passive imaging system. 4. detecting the faint target in long range and the small target in deep space. For low surface reflectivity of faint targets in long range, it's difficult to detect them by passive imaging system, and for small target in deep space, it is impossible mission for passive imaging system.Under above environment and area, the important reason which cause passive imaging system don't work is week energy reflected by target, and the reflective energy is not ample for detector to identify. Therefore, the additional illuminator is added to the imaging system, increase the reflective energy, and it can overcome the drawback of passive imaging system, namely active imaging system. The active imaging system is adopt pattern of active illuminator, a manmade optical radiator source(normally is laser) and receiver are adopted, and the reflective light reflected by the target is detected by receiver and imaging.The active imaging technology is a new technology which combined laser technology,information processing technology of faint target and range gating technology, and is used to detect and identify faint target in long range.
