What is being investigated in this dissertation was supported by the Defense Advanced Research Projects- "The research on CDMA XXXX technique" .This paper dedicated itself to the mlutiuser detection and its SOC design. This paper emphasize particularly on applied research, the research objectives includes: 1) The multiuser detection algorithms, 2) The effect of the quantization noise on the multiuser detector, 3) SOC design method, 4) The SOC design and implement of the selective parallel partial interference cancellation multiuser receiver. The main research and originality of this paper can be summarized as below:1. This paper proposes the quasi-synchronous multiuser detection algorithm and selective parallel partial interference cancellation multiuser receiver which can be used in reentry telemetry system.a) The quasi-synchronous multiuser detection algorithm, which matrix order is equal to the number of users, can suppress the MAI effectively and needn't knowledge of MAI power levels, thereby resulting in lower computational complexity and high "near-far" resistance. In this paper the performance of quasi-synchronous multiuser detection algorithm is analyzed theoretically, and the numerical results are presented.b) In the proposed Selective parallel partial interference cancellation multiuser receiver is a multistage receiver, with different coefficients in every stage, cancels the MAI according to the statistics of its matched filter (MF) output to mitigate the effect of former stage wrong bit decision. The performance analysis and simulation of the Selective parallel partial interference cancellation multiuser receiver also be presented. The performance analysis and simulation results show the correctness of the algorithms, and similar research had not been reported.2. This paper presents the whole design configuration of coherent selective parallel partial interference cancellation multiuser receiver and non-coherent selective parallel partial interference cancellation multiuser receiver. The novel...
