Image Information Fusion Based On Integrated Computational Intelligence

It is an inevitable tendency from the development of image processing to the intelligent technology, which will offer us more ways with the increasing need of information processing. Integrated computational intelligence and image fusion are both new techniques in this filed. Under the support of the vital item of Shanghai Science and Technology Committee (N0.03DZ19709), a comprehensive and thorough investigation about the present situations and advances of integrated computational intelligence as well as image fusion has been made in this paper. Finally, the image fusion technology based on integrated computational intelligence has been focused on. From that, some studies and discussion on the theories and applications have been carried out in this paper, and some new ideas, methods and approaches have been presented.Firstly, the neural fuzzy system is established to remove the noise. The positive and negative impulse noises are removed by self-adaptive clustering correct of noise signal finally. This method with good flexibility overcomes the shortcoming of conventional filters whose positive and negative noise signal can't be cancelled at the same time.Secondly, a new idea for edge extraction is presented. Base on the actual conditions of fuzzy and undistinguished image information, the fuzzy rough definition of edge information is deduced by making use of the characteristics of fuzzy rough set and its advantages for approximate information processing, and realizes the edge extraction of elastic images.
