There are not only ordinary digital forms of information processed by computer, but also knowledge forms of information processed in the field of artificial intelligence. Relatively, there are not only digital-type of information processing, but also knowledge-type of information processing.As a matter of fact, there are other forms of information and related ways of their processing besides these. And generally speaking, there are not only the various forms of information processed by such "material symbol system" as computers and the related ways of processing, but also the various forms of information processed by such "material symbol system" as human brains and the related ways of processing. Given the various human activities being decision-making—online decision-making and offline decision-making—process, then the various human activities are a information processing course in nature, and the efficiency of the activities is determined by the efficiency of the information processing. All of these forms of information and their relative processing ways must be put into a related system, and only in such a way they can be understood unitively and the problem of the development in technology of information processing can be fully explained.As far as the development in the technology of information processing is concerned, related course of informationizing in society must be involved. Because informationizing in society not only implies the process of social application of information technology and its influence on society, but also implies the adaptive adjustment of society and its affect on development of the information technology.Faced with the extensive scope of "information processing and relative problems", the study firstly uses analyzing method to identify the various ways of information processing from the point of view of intelligent degree so as to grasp the them. Then, the study uses synthetical method by putting information-processing as a whole into the society in which it is acting so as to understand the direction of development in information technology and grasp it further.Analyzing research can make the people to grasp the problems of information processing from the various point of view and also can open out the various possibledirections of development in information-processing technology. Synthetical research not only can reveal various influences on information technology stressed by society, and can reveal the real direction of the development in information technology, but also can reveal various impacts on society stressed by development in information technology. Thus, it is intelligent to combine analysis method of investigating tradition with synthesis method of investigating tradition in studying by trans-discipline and by inherence.Based on such a method, "the studying of information processing and relative problems" has posted three forms of information: first, atom-type information which has no intrinsic structure between its various elements. Second, predication-type information, that is to say, the information is the predication of intrinsic connection between two or more forms of atom-type information. Predication-type information conveys the information of connection, it is knowledge-type information in nature. The third form of information is the system-type information, which is the affirmance of the connection among some different forms of predication-type information. Correspondingly, there are three different forms of information processing: the way of atom-type information processing that shows digital (mechanism) character, such as insertion > modification deletion and so on. The processing of atom-type information is the dominant way of information processing today. The second way of information processing is the way of predication-type information processing that shows knowledge (reasoning) character. The predication-type information (knowledge-type information) processing need knowledge-base and reasoning programme, which are the inevitable results of character of intrinsic connection within the predication-type information. If the predication-type (knowledge-type) information is processed mechanically (for example, deletion of its certain element), then the information quantity the original predication-type information conveys will loss dramatically. The way of predication-type or knowledge-type information processing is the level which the artificial intelligence has achieved today. The third way of processing is the system-type information processing that shows intelligence (constitution operation) character. At the present time, this kind of information processing lies in the course of creativity of human being merely, not realized technologically. But the way of the system-type information processing will be the next milestone of information technology.The problem that related greatly to the development of information technology is the tacit information. In contrast to codified information, it is impossible (at least very difficult) to make the tacit information codified. With the constant development of technology of codified information processing, the codified information speed up constantly, but the tacit information is difficult to flow which make it more scarcely.
