The research of multiphase flow is very important for atomic engineering, spaceflight engineering, chemical engineering, energy engineering, petrochemical engineering, etc. Multiphase flow is a complicated nonlinear dynamic system. Parameter measurement of multiphase flow is very difficult. Process tomography (PT) technology is one of the most important methods of multiphase flow parameter measurement. It is based on the computed tomography (CT) technology, and is one kind of imaging measurement technology by reconstructing the two or three dimensional image of test object process parameter distribution. The primary research of terahertz process tomography technology is carried out and an original near infrared laser process tomography system is built. This system can be used for the simulation of terahertz process tomography, and can also be used in two-phase flow parameter measurement independently. The research emphases and creative points of this paper are as follows:1. The research of terahertz process tomography technology: Terahertz technology is a new area of science. Terahertz wave can be used in many applied areas by its particular physical characteristics. Terahertz imaging is an important technology of terahertz application. Terahertz process tomography technology using in multiphase flow parameter measurement is a new area of terahertz imaging.2. The research of near infrared laser process tomography technology and system: Optical computed tomography technology is one kind of optical imaging measurement technologies, which are widely studied by now. The near infrared laser process tomography system we built here is based on the optical computed tomography technology, and have unique system structure, good application future and large development potentiality.3. The new methods of multiphase flow parameter measurement: Terahertz and optical process tomography technologies are different from existing process tomography technologies. Optical process tomography technology can get high resolution and image reconstruction speed. Our near infrared laser process tomography system is suitable for many types of two-phase flow measurement.Terahertz technology and optical imaging measurement technology are new areas of science, which are widely studied in the developed countries by now. There are also some exciting achievements have been obtained. Our research in these areas is earlier in our country. Although the achievements of our research are not satisfied up to now, but we believe the directions of our research are very important for the future of industrial nondestructive measurement.
