Theoretical And Empirical Study On Evaluation Index System Of International Sport City

International sport city is a city which has important influence on international sports affairs.It is the production of globalization and informatization. This study defined the international sport city as follows:big cities or mega cities which play important roles in the international sports business, multi-functional or dominant functional, all the sports enterprises are more developed,have strong competitive power and extensive international influence.This study is going to enrich the general theory of international metropolis construction. It not only provides useful supplement for the research of evaluation index and criterion of the international sport city; but also commits to be perfection and innovation of the urban sports theory research; it can also provides the basis and theoretical supports for Beijing to establish the development strategy and policy toward a international sport city. Therefore it has practice guidance and practical significance.By adopting the method of literature data, system analysis, investigation, logic analysis, analytic hierarchy process, and mathematical statistics to conduct the theory and empirical studies to evaluation index system structure of international sport city. In the theoretical part, this article defined the concept of international sport city and theoretical basis of international sport city construction, and discuss the main factors and development path of formation and development of international sport city.In the demonstration part, evaluation index system of international sport city is established in the first step. On this basis, we conduct the evaluation for the current situation of Beijing's international sport city construction. According to the problems and shortages of Beijing's international sport city construction, this article propose some effective strategies and methods to speed up Beijing's international sport city construction. The specific results of the demonstration part are as follows:The evaluation index system of international sport city consists of eight primary indexes, twenty-nine secondary indexes and sixty-nine third-class indexes. Through the evaluation criterion of the international sport city, we calculated the realization degree of Beijing's international sport construction is80.51%at present. Therefore, there is still a certain gap between Beijing and the city which "has obvious signs to be a international sport city".The realization degree of competitive sports, sports for all, school sports, sports literacy are all exceed85%, respectively to be87.97%,87.84%,88.71%,93.18%, but the realization degree of sports industry, professional sports, sports international level are lower than80%except the sports science and technology,which is80.97%.As we can see from the data, a great gap does exist. Based on analysis of the current situation of Beijing's international sport city construction, this paper try to propose the current stage goals and countermeasures which can speed up Beijing's international sport city construction.
