Tubo Period Of Tibetan Education Research

Tibetan culture has a long history with extensive knowledge and profound scholarship,which having a close relation with education, thus,study of achievement of Tubo's education's is our historic respon-sibility.Firstly,Tubo's historical background on its education is reviewed in this text,for the purpose of supporting my viewpoints in the text.His-tory in remote antiquity and Tubo kingdom consititute the historical back-ground of the development about Tubo's education. Because Chi Song De Zan's period is an important turning point between Buddhism and Bon religion,I divide Tubo's history into two parts according to the period.The chapter on the official school of Tang Dynasty is divided into3parts,about its evolution,content,significance.The education of the official school of Tang Dynasty was built on Glorious age of Tang dynasty,so the contradiction between productive forces and the relations of production is the determining factor refering to official education.Moreover, Confucian classics was prescriptive content,but practical study involved society, his-tory,geography,military,systems and so on. Creating of Tibetan language is significant for forming Tibetan Buddhism,cultural exchange,and Tibetan education. In term of Tibetan language's actual natal process,It's Tun Mi Sang Bu Zha who standar-dized Tibetan language.On the other hand,people consider he is creator. I think either of them is right,since the latter belongs to value assessment, which is reasonable in a way.Besides,from different angles,the text trea-tises Buddhism education,including Jokhang Temple,Ramoche Temple, Jokhang monastery,and so on. In a word,Tubo Buddhism's mode of trans-mission is a process from above to below,but in the nongovernmental extent,Buddhism education comparatively grew slowly.The Bon religion had had a dominant position before Chi Song De Zan's period,and Bon's classical works and temples had existed at that time.After Chi Song De Zan's period,Bon religion entered a selfconduc-ting seedtime,and Bon's spreading extent isn't only at temples, including sacrificing action,petrogram education and so on.As a subject with a long history,Tibetan medicine has made a great contribution to the development of Tubo's education,for example,famous doctor Yun Dan Gong Bu and his opus Si Bu Yi Dian.Besides, Tubo's astronomy has made much progress as well.At last,the text expounded Tubo's education theory and its historic significance.As regards to the education theory,we summarize it like this:virtue-centred,raising talented firstly,learning from all the world and emphasizing practice.Altogether,with the development of Tubo's educa-tion, it has fosterd many talents,kept so many ancient records,consolidated Tibetan-Han relations and fathomed the way of education.All these su-ccesses owe a great deal to education's development,enlightend systems, efforts of past sages and so on,furthermore,all these positive factors faci-litated the sound social atmosphere.
