Mao Ze-dong's America View has the most profound and lasting influence than any other important ones in the 20th Century. The dissertation regards the practices of Mao Ze-dong dealing with Sino-U. S. relations as research topic, exhumes internal mind experiences by external objective actions, studies Mao's world insight, developing thought and spirit of dealing with concrete matters relating to work, clarifies the changes of Mao's America view, uncovers subjective and objective reasons resulting from the changes and the influence on the foreign policy transformation and modulation, furthermore, the article will provides historical reference for the contemporary similar problem. The dissertation consists of five chapters. Chapter 1 mainly studies the primary formation of Mao Ze-dong's America View, discusses the"American Spirit" effect on young Mao's thought, and the choice of"Russian Revolution" clearing up the former.Chapter 2 mainly studies Mao's America view in the background of anti-fascism, probes into the changes of Mao's view in the Sino-Japanese War. In this period, Mao gradually got rid of the limit of the "opposing all imperialism" view, regarded America as main "democracy nation" in the world and Chinese people's "friendly nation" , and more adjusted China's foreign policy to U. S.Chapter 3 mainly studies Mao's America view in the background of the"China's Revolution" , discussed the development of Mao's America view during the War of Liberation. In this period, Mao not only argued that"Both American Imperialism and all oppositions are Paper Tigers" , but also established "the Intermediate Zone Theory" , developed "the Two Camps" thought, and then systemically summed up the relations of Sino-U. S. since more one hundred years.Chapter 4 mainly studies Mao's America view in the background of the"world revolution" , discussed the evolutions of Mao's view from the early years of 1950s to the end of 1960s. On the one hand, Mao clarified that "American Imperialism is the most dangerous enemy" by the KoreaWar, the Cannonade Jingmen, and the aiding Vietnam to resist U. S. ; on the other hand, Mao argued that "American Imperialism is the origin of the modern war" , by "opposing and preventing revisionism" and impelling "world revolution" .Chapter 5 mainly studies Mao's American view in the background of the anti-hegemonism, discusses the changes of Mao's view in his late years. Mao's view changed from anti-revisionism in 1960s to anti-hegemonism in 1970s, this is the distinct different, Mao's America view became more dealing with concrete matters relating to work, more emphasized on nation's security and interests in dealing with the relations of Sino-U. S., reflected the distinct character that Mao's view returned from revolution idealism to realism.
