The paper attempts to correctly analyze and evaluate the postmodemism under The guide of the basic point ofview ofMarxism,and draws lessons from the valuabl e parts of postmodernism that could help the modernization of China to avoid taking roundabout way.The paper consists ofthree parts:introduction,body and conclusion。In introduction part,the author gives a brief account of the paper'S train of thought as well as the current situation ofpostmodernism,the main research methods, innovation and insufficiency ofpaper.It points out that althou@critique is more than constructs,the denial is more than the aff'mnation in postmodernism theory,but it has the realistic foundation of existence.Moreover it displays certain characteristies which have some kind of conjunction contrast with the Marxism,therefore, postmodemism has the salutary lesson to our country'S modernization。But the present domestic still,lacks the system research from the philosophy angle about the postmodernism and its significance to 0111"country'S modernization.This is the reason whytheauthorchoosesthistopic。In chapter one,the author gives a comprehensive ahalysis of postmodemism from four aspects:the semantic confusion and contradiction,the definition of connotation,the fundamental characteristics,meaning and value.Through the analysis, it finds that postmodemism is a kind oftransformation contrasted with modernity.It is a new stage indication to the social development,and it has the important salutary lesson to our coun~'y's modernization.In chapter two,the author explores the correction questions of postrnodemisrn in western modernization.Raftonalism and irrationalism is the result ofextremely emphasizing reason and unreason.The process of modernization is a process which reason gives play to fundamental function.However,the rational instrumentalism in the process of modernization causes the refutation of postmodemism.Postmodernism takes an irrational method to explain the "substance" reason and gives up the reasons hegemony and lopsided instrurnentalism.Our modernization not only fully display the reason's function ofconstruct,but also display the guidance and drive function ofthe non-rational factor. .Modernity enlightenment wakes up people'S subjective realization。But in the reality subject is not equal,Postmodemism considers that the concept of subject is fictitious,a kind ofpowerfifl words and it is the basic reason to the separation ofman...
