| With Economic globalizing , which began in the late 1970's and developed in 1990's, economic factors become more and more important in international politics, and the trend of economic politicizing and political economizing appeared in international politics. Such a new trend, in the process of China' s Reform and Opening-up, became more and more apparent in Sino-US relations in late 1980's, and became the main characteristic of 90's Sino- US relations. What does it mean by political economizing and economic politicizing of Sino-US relations? Is there any sources and reason for such a trend? And can it be a long principal for Sino-US relations? Is it meaningful to find the new cornerstone for the development of Sino- US relations, the joint point of common interests and proper settlement of divergence?The thesis, applying the principle of Maxist international ecopolitics concerning the dialectical unity of mutual-drive of international politics and international economics, properly adopting the reasonable elements of Western International Ecopolitics, centering on China Market-oriented economy and Opening up, analyses the effects of mutual-drive of politics and economy on Sino-US relations in the process of economic globalizing. Through analysis, the following theoretical ideas and conclusion are drawn: First, the rapid development of economic globalizing strengthens the basic and decisive role of economy on politics. Therefore " Powerful Economy---- Powerful Politics" turn to be mutual-drive (the innovation of the thesis), which made the trend of international economic politicizing and international political economizing, with the development of economic globalizing, more and more apparent from the late 1970's, especially from the 1990's. The objective conditions for the mutual-drive of politics and economy are two-sided. One is the highly-development of international productive force, which promotes the strategic position and the political role of economy in national life and international relations, widens and strengthens the political function of economy and transforms it to politics with the function of coordinating and controlling the overall interest relationship of the nation. The other is strengthening economic function of politics. The international society where economic globalizing is carried on is composed of national systems. And the limitedness of human resources and the crude competition of overall national strength make nations use every possible political means to serve economy, therefore, strengthening the economic function of politics in the increasing of human welfare. The essence of mutual-drive of politics and economy lies in their common characteristic of adopting interests. To achieve the best composition of interests, politics is the means, the aim and the cause of economy, and vice versa. Such a mutual- drive is realized through market and nation. Economic globalizing is commercialized market-oriented global economy, which reflects politically the democratization of international relations. The new productive mode makes international society from a power politics society to a mutual –independent world. Mutual –independent relations affect national interests, national behavior and international relations.The political economizing and economic politicizing of Sino-US relations, unobservable in 1980's, turned to be distinct in 90's,which became the new characteristic of Sino –US relations. This is embodiment of the mutual-drive of " powerful economy ---powerful –politics" on Sino –US relations, which can be illustrated by the following three reasons.
