Social stability is a significant practical and theoretical issue that our government and the academia commonly concern."Stability is of overriding importance" has become a consensus in society. At present, we are in the gold era of development, and also a era of many obvious social conflicts, therefore the pressure of social stability is increasing constantly because of social transformation, institutional transition, mechanism transformation, urban-rural gap, regional imbalance, environmental pollution, rich-poor disparity, social corruption and land requisition. Exploring an effective way of maintaining social stability and resolving social conflicts through the innovation of the ideological and political work have important theoretical and practical significance for building a harmonious society, consolidating national stability, and also promoting people's livelihood, raising the level of social management and consolidating the party's position.Stable and healthy development in any countries need to focus on two essential factors:one is material and the other is spiritual civilization, or that is to say, one is hard power and the other is soft power. Nowadays, there are variety of factors and measures to affect and maintain social stability. However, current measures mainly emphasizes on the aspect of system and mechanism, neglecting the ideological and political work.
