A Research On Zhu Qianzhi's Philosophy And History Of Philosophy Research

Zhu Qianzhi(1899-1972), born in Fuzhou of Fujian province, is a famous philosopher and historian of philosophy in China. His research was extensive, involving philosophy, history, politics, economics, literature, religion, music, etc., so he was called "encyclopedic scholar". His research including not only European philosophy such as Hegel, Comte, Kant,etc. but Chinese philosophy such as History, case type, historical materials etc.. Zhang Dainian thought that Zhu Qianzhi was a famous philosopher and historian of philosophy, his resarch was superb and made a large contribution in the history of Chinese philosophy and oriental philosophy, his book that Chinese Philosophy on the Impact of Europe had great value. However, his contribution to the academic world in the philosophy and history of philosophy, so far no systematic studies. This is undoubtedly an important academic significance to clarify his creation on the theory of Chinese philosophy, his studies on the history of Chinese philosophy, his studies on the history of Japanese philosophy, his studies on Chinese Philosophy on the impact of Europe society. And it is an important significance to analyze the changes of his thought from the may fourth period to new China, to analyze his reflections on contemporary society. And these studies can provide us with a more extensive contemporary academic perspective.The thesis has been wholly, systematically investigated Zhu Qianzhi's creation on the theory of Chinese philosophy, his studies on the history of Chinese philosophy, his studies on the history of Japanese philosophy, his studies on Chinese Philosophy on the impact of Europe society from the aspect of philosophy, and it has remedied ignoring to a certain extent of academic contribution to Zhu Qianzhi in Chinese philosophy development history during modern times.There are five parts in the thesis. In Chapterâ… , it mainly discussed Zhu Qianzhi's creation on the theory of philosophy which was based on philosopher's thought in history:his theory of Nihilism thought and his sentimentalism thought. The thesis has been elaborated the changes of his thought from his theory of Nihilism thought to his sentimentalism thought in his youth.To compare the characteristics of these two stages:(1 Methodologically, his theory of Nihilism thought was to suspect and negate the world from logic of rational reasoning, his train of thought was from existence to nothingness; his sentimentalism thought was a positive attitude to the world and believed in irrational "zhen-qing", it was based on and developed his train of thought was from nothingness to existence, not simply cosmogony. (2) In the ontology, his theory of Nihilism thought was from distinction of ontology and phenomenon, and it was a beyond phenomenon's nothingness ontology; his sentimentalism thought was from unity of ontology and phenomenon, and "zhen-qing" was included in the ontology and phenomenon. (3)In political ideal, his theory of Nihilism thought approved Anarchism in a way; his sentimentalism thought was a ideal of communism. And his thought of these two stages both to construct a general theory. (4)In thinking resources, aside from was influenced by European thought, his theory of Nihilism thought was mainly influenced by Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu thought, his sentimentalism thought was mainly influenced by confucianism. And his sentimentalism thought objectively developed confucianism in the theory of human mind and nature by his "zhen-qing" onotology.In chapterâ…¡, it mainly discussed Zhu Qianzhi's studies on history of Chinese philosophy. Section one and section two mainly discussed Zhu Qianzhi's studies on lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu thought. Taoism's influence on zhu Qianzhi's life throughout the decades of its academic. It is a very important clue to investigate his research on the philosophy of Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu thought. The thesis has been approved his academic value of book on Lao-tzu Emendation, investigated his study on philosophy of Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu, and these were related to his thinking of freedom and truth.Section three mainly discussed Zhu Qianzhi's studies of the history of Chinese philosophy. He has been mainly investigated chinese feudal social history of philosophy, and his research was from philosophy aspect. Section four mainly discussed Zhu Qianzhi's studies of the Chinese philosophy historical studies. he actually was one of the pioneers and made an special study of Chinese philosophy historical materials during modern times.In chapter III, it mainly discussed Zhu Qianzhi's groundbreaking research in the history of Japanese philosophy. The development of Japanese philosophy based on Learning Chinese philosophy during tokugawa period, hence, it is very important of Zhu Qianzhi's study on Chinese Philosophy's impact to Japan society. The article will study from Chinese Philosophy's impact to Japan society, and made a summary of his study in the history of Japanese philosophy, and Zhu Qianzhi's mainly academic contribution was in the 20th century 50s.His distinctive studies was the history of Japanese philosophy and the comparative research on philosophy in China and in Japan. The thesis analyzed his research on the philosophy of Japanese Zhuzi School of Learning, Japanese Kogaku, Japanese Yangming doctrine, and History of Japanese philosophy. He constantly did the comparative research on philosophy in China and in Japan. His study idea was come from his guiding ideology of historical materialism. Generally, I think that Zhu Qianzhi opened up a subject to study the history of Japanese philosophy in China, and his study was beyond previous studies in Japan.In chapterâ…£, it mainly discussed Zhu Qianzhi's research from philosophy aspect in the impact on Europe society by Chinese Philosophy. Chinese philosophy have been effected on not only Japan society but Europe society. Zhu Qianzhi's research was relatively early in China.His systematic analysis opened up our generally view of point to Chinese philosophy value in the impact on Europe by Chinese Philosophy. Draw a conclusion from his study, it was passive in the impact on Europe of Chinese philosophy. And it is important to communicate between China and Europe. And we must be positive attitude to promote the development of human civilization though Cross-cultural communication in modern China.In Conclusion, it mainly summarized Zhu Qianzhi's academic contributions on philosophy and history of philosophy:(1) Zhu Qianzhi's academic contributions was excellent on philosophy and history of philosophy. We should pay attention to his research results. It was an useful attempt to create the theory of philosophy. The book of Lao-tzu Emendation have an important academic value, his studies were distinctive on philosophy of Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu. His study on the Chinese philosophy historical materials actually was one of the pioneers and specially study during modern times. His academic research showed the impact on Chinese philosophy to Japan and Europe society during special historical period, it showed us the value of Chinese philosophy in the world.(2) His theory of Nihilism thought and sentimentalism thought were a creation in ontology. And his sentimentalism thought objectively developed confucianism in the theory of human mind and nature.(3) His study on the history of Japanese philosophy from Chinese Philosophy's impact to Japan society, and he actually was the pioneer in the subject in modern China. His study and books was one of the most important researches in China and Japan and so far few researcher beyond him from his guiding ideology of historical materialism. His study on Japan Confucism was mainly the philosophy of Japanese Zhuzi School of Learning, Japanese Kogaku, Japanese Yangming doctrine. We can know that it was catch the most important impact on Japan society by China pre-Qin Dynasty confucism and Song Dynasty confucism during tokugawa period.(4)His study on Europe society was effected by Chinese philosophy, actually had a groundbreaking in the subject. His study was one of the most important books from philosophy aspect in the subject.
