Qiance is a kind of bamboo slips that were used in ancient funerals to record objects which would be buried in the tombs. Since 1950s, archeologists have discovered about 60 batches of bamboo slips of this kind in tombs ranging from Dong Zhou Dynasty to Han and Jin Dynasty. Thirty-one batches belong to Han Dynasty, in which twenty-two batches have been officially proclaimed. There are eleven batches in Hubei Province: Dafentou Tomb.1, Gaotai Tomb.6,Gaotai Tomb.18,Fenghuangshan Tomb.8,Fenghuangshan Tomb.9,Fenghuangshan Tomb.10,Fenghuangshan Tomb. 167, Fenghuangshan Tomb. 168, Fenghuangshan Tomb. 169, Zhangjiashan Tomb.247, Xiaojiacaochang Tomb.26. There are eight batches in Jiangsu Province: Shiqiyao Tomb, Huangshiya Tomb, Huohe Tomb, Xupu Tomb. 101, Yinwan Tomb.6, Jiaoshan Tomb, Sanyangdun Tomb.1, Yinwan Tomb.2. There are two batches in Hunan Province: Mawangdui Tomb.1, Mawangdui Tomb.3. There is one batches in Guangxi Province: Luopowan Tomb.1. Among these tombs, fourteen are in the early stage of Western Han Dynasty, two are in the middle stage of Western Han Dynasty, three are in the late stage of Western Han Dynasty, the last three tombs belong to early stage of Eastern Han Dynasty. Qiance is so scattered that enough emphasis is not obtained. The dissertation is based on the achievements which scholars have acquired, drawing on the experiences of characters learning, Xungu learning, Chinese language history and archaeology, analysing the words and expressions in Qiance, paying close attention to the change of language in Han Dynasty.This dissertation contains three chapters and an appendix as follows.Qiance's excavation, interpretation, research status and the value of this dissertation are mainly introduced in the first part. The measures practiced in the thesis are also mentioned in this chapter.The second chapter is the main body of the thesis. It is composed of guide notes and main body of the words and expressions. The dissertation is based on the achievements which scholars have acquired, drawing on the experiences of characters learning, Xungu learning, Chinese language history and archaeology, analysing 213 words and expressions in Qiance. The third chapter contains words and expressions discussion which are on behalf of the change of language in Han Dynasty.
