There are some problems in current psychological research including the weakness of theoretical study, the miscellanies of research data, and absence of scientific progress standard. And all the above problems are proceeding at the same basic presupposition, which is the identity postulate of psychological language and physical language. It's because of the disregard or ignorance of the presupposition that forms part of the reason of above problems.This thesis discusses the questions from a basic research fact. The fact is very obvious in psychological research. Various psychologists and their theories focus on the mental phenomena and its elements. But when they describe and analyze the phenomena, they use obviously different discourse, and when they focus on the same mental objects or themes, there are still different descriptions. Furthermore, there are conceptual and phraseological differences even in a theory.So, are the differences of phraseology, style and discourse only literal meaning differences? Are the various texts of psychologists able to be compared or communicate with each other? It is always criticized that there are too many psychological schools and redundancy research data. Can the problem be solved by clearing the real implication coming from the phraseological differences?In purpose of answering those questions, discourse analysis technique is introduced in the research, and the technique is based on the identity postulate of psychological language and physical language. Because discourse analysis not only can be treated as a beneficial supplements to the traditional psychology, but also can accelerate the social psychology by questioning traditional theories and models. Metaphoric analysis is an important technique and method to realize those purposes; what's more, it also belongs to the category of discourse analysis and is the core part of discourse analysis.The thesis mainly uses the metaphoric analysis methods and tries to disclose the semantics and pragmatics problems which were always ignored in psychological research. It also tried to dig out the stable and identical description behind of the various phraseology and styles. Furthermore, it also tries to introduce the metaphoric analysis into the research process of psychology as a technique.The research of psychological metaphors discloses a meaningful area which is constitutive of the meanings psychologists express when they construct theories. The formation of the area is realized in the process of understanding various psychological metaphors. In order to understand the psychological meaning space, the thesis analyzes the relationship between psychology and metaphor from lateral and lengthways dimensions. After briefly analyzing the metaphor's psychology, the thesis mainly analyzes psychological metaphors. Psychological metaphors mean the metaphoric thoughts and metaphoric methods. In short, psychological metaphors include psychological theoretical metaphors, psychological research objects metaphors, and the linguistic presuppositions of psychological research methods.In according to above analyzing road, the thesis firstly analyzes the special metaphor problems, mental imagery and representation problems, and consciousness research problems. And then the thesis analyzes following questions. They are the construction and evolvement of mental entities, the design of psychological methodology and Descartes problem on mind-body relationship etc. Based on the analysis, the thesis tries to solve the"crisis"of current research in psychology. For example, the psychological crisis also can be seen as research disorder caused by losing criterion which is because of discourse systems differentia and scientific context differentia. Furthermore, the essential of psychological crisis is that researchers ignore the specific context and treat the exterior schools and theories disassociation as the disunity criterion in psychological research.Above all, the metaphoric analysis technique or the research of psychological metaphors makes great sense for psychology, and its application consists of the base of inner commensurability. It's based on it the psychological science can treat the real mental entities as objects and realize the real paradigm unification and discipline advancement.
