My study in this thesis is the culture environment of the contemporary fine-arts in Taiwan. We coordinate the cause and effect about the progress and the variation of the contemporary fine-arts in Taiwan according to the time sequence by the emphasis analysis on the influence of the government system, the fettle and of the civilian capital. We discussed in this paper the process and the reason of mainstreamlization of the contemporary fine-arts in Taiwan, and pointed out the problem and the difficulty, and found out its ultimate reason.Taiwan's contemporary fine-arts raise at about the time of "political renovation". It is not by coincidence, but there is a direct relationship of both. The "political renovation" resulted in the ebb and collapse of the government's authority, and also the social movement vigorously developed. Along with the coming forth of all kinds of ethos typically the ethos of fine-arts, those factors provided the social foundation and the basic thinking for the rise of the contemporary fine-arts. Deeply influenced by the social political environment and by the up-and-down of the economic condition, Taiwan's contemporary fine-arts against the authority intensely in their culture, negate the old ideology, animadvert on the social phenomenon, thus it became multiform, miscellany and full of the advance means in the art form and the creational contestation. This situation of multiform and advance is the result of the together force given by the government system, civilian capital and the frontier artist.The drive of the official organ, the support of the civilian capital and the rise of the criticism mainly constitute the culture of the contemporary fine-arts in Taiwan. The most important two factors of the development of Taiwan's contemporary fine-arts are the civilian capital and the government system as a social frame. The government system promote it the course of mainstreamlization by the control of the culture policy, art gallery system and the art education; while the civilian capital realized their support on the contemporary fine-arts in such a way of consortium imbursement, flourishing the art gallery and art market; the criticism on the culture, all the ethos and the creational idea such as "localization" and "internationalization", make up of the spirituality.In the process of its mainstreamlization, there exist many problems of Taiwan's contemporary fine-arts such as the decline of the traditional culture, the lack of native value, rapidity turning of the art tide, the tendency of extensive politics in creation. These are the reflection of the fact that it shows the weakness of its traditional elements under the impact of the western culture of after-colonization,on the other hand, it reflect the truth that Taiwan's arts creation is lack of deeply thinking and necessary accumulation. The main reasons are the systematization and the non-origin of Taiwan's arts.Currently, the study of culture environment in a special region is on the beginning, the relative information and treatise are quite absence. The author of this thesis wants to give an introduction study on the culture environment of the contemporary fine-arts in Taiwan, and hope that Chinese expert of art history can pay attention to such study.
