The paper studies animacy and Chinese syntax from seven aspects: 1) life and animacy; 2) animacy and syntax form; 3) constitutes of animacy with related factors; 4) animacy and noun constructions; 5)animacy and verb constructions; 6) animacy and adjective constructions; 7) animacy and "bei" constructions; 8) animacy and "you" constructions.(1) the innovation of the paper1. connecting and founding. It breaks through the misunderstanding of each course with establishing the complete animacy degree of Chinese. This paper thinks "life" should be a biology concept. (The property or quality that distinguishes living organisms from dead organisms and inanimate matter, manifested in functions such as metabolism, growth, reproduction, and response to stimuli or adaptation to the environment originating from within the organism.) There are different explanations in philosophy, biology, encyclopedic knowledge, linguistics etc. The animacy is the strong or weak degree of the vitality of living body. This paper breaks through the boundary between each course, and founds a sequence of animacy that crosses several courses:We thinks that it expands the sequence of "human>animal>nonliving object" by Comrie (Comrie.1981) and makes it more effective and more influential in Chinese.2. Elaboration and influence. We study the word class's reclassification, the combination of phrases and the syntax structure from the concept "life" of the language exterior in the text, and also with the effect of combination of the animacy to Chinese word class, phrase and phrases, syntax structure. Thus it discovers the animacy's effects on fining that the Chinese phrase classification, the phrase combinations, and the syntax.3. Analysis and explanation. It divides the living characteristics of animacy, such as the individualism, automation, consciousness, causation, influence. These characteristics are expressed as acceptability in the combination of the phrase and phrase. In the end it explains the degree of acceptability in the same or different degree of animacy structures through the view of cognition, and thus carries out the expanding of Chinese prominent sentences.(2) Theories of the paper1,explanatory ambition. The life degree explains cognitively the acceptance of Chinese phrase's elaboration, the combination. For example, the combination of nonliving N and living V will enter the metaphor area (the sun have feet), N, V combine with the whole O and would enter to metonymy (The black hand stretches toward students). Other crossing combinations crossing over 2 layers of animacy have the cognition background with motivations, which are restricted by Chinese semantic characteristics.2. Function and cognition. Because grammar is a person's reflection of the rule of the cognition world, concepts relating to function and cognition, such as category, intelligence, reasoning, apperception, and syntax are obtained through the body's experience and imagination. As a result, these processes of thinking, reasoning, concept and meaning are restrained by the animacy and Chinese semantic characteristics of the subject. This paper is to look for these characteristics and get them examined through syntactic structures.3. Semantics grammar. With the acceptability of phrases combination, it finds out the relationship between Chinese semantic characteristics and syntax, and then verifies through syntactic structures, and at last explains the effect of meaning on classification, combination and sentence pattern.(3) Aspects of the study1. life and animacy. Studying the different meaning and extension of life and animacy in different courses and picking-up in keeping with philological definition.2. Animacy and syntactic structures. We rank the meaning and extension, the syntax system of Chinese in the paper. Studying the relation between animacy and Chinese syntactic structures, and the realization of N,V,A meaning in the various animacy degree syntax structures as S+Predicate, V+O, Ad+headword, V+C.3. Chinese N, V, A content words, inner part of elaboration to categorize again, the acceptability research of a combination of same or different animacy.4. Studying on Chinese high animacy structure "bei" and low living structure "you"; restrictions of animacy in a sentence: the mutual selectivity of different animacy words with the Chinese syntax structures, the cognitive explanation of mutual restrains in different animacy in words and the syntax structure.5. Conclusion. The relation between words, combination, structures and the animacy of the Chinese can be illustrated as supervision and restriction, compromising and restraining, in which the internal motivations is competition and compromising of the cognitive factor and interaction of accuracy principle and economy principle.
