Cultural Capital

The present paper probes into the theory and practice of the operation of culture capital based on the nature of culture capital. By operation of culture capital, it is expected that the backward condition of culture industry in China can be changed so as to strengthen and expand China's culture industry. Thus, more and more cultural commodities will be produced to meet the social demand. While contributing to economic benefits by loving and consumption of culture commodities they love to see and hear, people will also be exerted with a subtle influence on the culture traditions and mainstream value perspective so that excellent Chinese traditional culture will be carried forward and further enhanced.Study on culture capital reflects great and far-reaching significance. From political point of view, study on culture capital means great efforts should be made to develop China's culture industry so as to occupy the culture market which should be seized hold by the cultural industry to a maximum extend except the cultural public welfare places which belong to governmental cultural undertaking. We must also make efforts to change the passive position of "Western strong and Eastern weak" or "Enemy strong and we weak" in culture field and finally resist and overcome western hostile forces in an attempt to westernize and split up our country. In theory, when we study culture capital, we intend to describe culture capital's feature, its production, accumulation, turnover and global operation, etc. so as to systemize the theory and not only strive to achieve the target of filling in the gap in theory but also make a little contribution to enrich and develop the capitalism of Marxist theory.
