In the history of modern literature, the modern feminine revolutionary novels are a kind of literary form embodying a complicated cultural implication, which is a contradictory unity reflecting the conflicts among several parties. However, there is little attention and emphasis attached on the study of this subject, and its due value is ignored. The main reasons lay on the facts that the modern feminine revolutionary novels are in an embarrassed and vague status between the literary criticism and the feminist criticism, both of which are the mainstream of the cultural ideology. Thus the affluent cultural value of modern feminine revolutionary novels is degraded, reduced, or even spited. Particularly, in China, the theory of feminism is out of the line with the feminist practice and the feminist literature to a certain extent, and lacks of a powerful practical supporting. Where does the Chinese feminism actually rely on? The revolutionary feminine writers have definitely answered this question through their lives and their writing practices as early as in the 1930s and the 1940s, and even now, we can still feel their persistent and dauntless personality, life attitude, and the practical point of thinking, which are just absent in present time. Therefore, the significance of the modern feminine revolutionary novels should be revalued. This thesis tries to study the modern feminine revolutionary novels applying to a new thought, including studying from the dialectic and historical point of view, returning to the historical and cultural context unique to China, and facing squarely to the special heritage, which is inherited from the twentieth century China and formed by the close cooperation between the feminist literature and the feminist liberation as well as the class liberation. This new thought is believed to lead the study on the feminist literature, especially the modern feminine revolutionary novels, to a opener, more solid historical and practical field of vision, so that it is helpful to reevaluate the unique value of the modern feminine revolutionary novels and...
