Gender and race are two big angles in the present world cultural study.But, as a branch ofgender , female literature study difficultly shows its should being vigour in the late of 90's thatbecause it has been questioned and ignored by male and some female intellectualson the one hand and lacked theory creature and consolidation especially lackeda whole frame of cognition on the other.So,it can't make a clear and valid conclusionfor the present female literature in the whole developing trend.From literary trendangle,starting with imaging and building of the culture/gender words,employing theway of feminism theory and narrative theory,this article tries to study contemporaryChinese female literatue from Mao's era up to date, build a whole frame, explain therelationship beween imaging of gender words in literature and the whole social cultural building,name the present female literature trend in the text and critic.Suffragist, feminism, womanism are three logic level of the contemporary female literature.The three words are not only theory notion, but also gender words, narrative tacticsand rhetoric pattern about gender relationship, cultural phenomenon and practice.Suffragist stress gender equality and female right obtaining,which point ofdeparture is social politics level.Feminism stress gender difference and femaleindependence legalization,which point of departure is cultural symbolizedlevel.Womanism is a kind of tactics and inclination returning tradition again,which base on suffragist and feminism having been got into social materialstructure and ideology,and after becoming a part of female culture and femaleindispensable need.The contradict between feminization and feminism were not thebest method to define younger female experience.Individual difference not sexualdifference became emphasis point.The unities of suffragist and feminism confrontwith challenge.From suffragist and feminism to womanism is the change way of thecontemporary Chinese female literature, but it not mean that they repel eachother.In fact,they are possibly interwine or exist at the same time.So,they aremore desire and mentality spaces.When I use suffragist, feminism and womanism to summarize three kinds of genderwords, this means the contemporary Chinese female literature contain three phrsesor forms: suffragist literature trend (from Mao's era to 1985's before), feminismliterature trend (from 1985's to 1995's) and womanism literature trend (from 1995's to date).Suffragist literature trend contained two source: one was Mao's kind women's liberationtheory and text;the other was the appearance of female consciousness in the Enlightenmentbackdrop.Mao's kind women's liberation theory based on the country/nation, women's troubledidn't possess itself legalization.Female subject identity was affirmed by social role orfaithful level to party and motherland but not by home or sexual role.It meetedfemale need to get into society and history.
