Both on bearing and on growing of the School of Lu-Wang (陆王心学), the School of Chinese Chan (禅) had played an important influence. According to the historical study, the dissertation shows how the School of Lu-Wang absorbed the ideas and methods of the School of Chinese Chan.The main argument set forth in the dissertation are : the School of Lu-Wang was critic and deep development of the School of Cheng-Zhu (程朱理学). They are: turning philosophical (义理的) investigation to practical action in the core of learning; turning seeking for knowledge of things to intimate reflection. With these turnings , the School of Lu-Wang faced and solved many fundamental problems of theory . They are: how to deal with the relations of knowledge and morality, mind and things, consciousness and action; how to rebuild organic substance of mind ; how to explain what is summit of spirit; and how to solve difficulty of their system. The School of Chinese Chan was complete Chinese Buddhism. Instead of doctrine Buddhism, the School of Chinese Chan occured. This correspond with the School of Cheng-Zhu turning into the School of Lu-Wang. There are similar question between two turning because of the similar approach. The main thinking mode that the School of Chinese Chan used to complete their turning almost was also adopted by the School of Lu-Wang.Although the School of Lu-Wang absorbed the main thinking mode from the School of Chinese Chan, they are very different system. They are very different also about value judgment of the world and inner action and quality of subjectivity. So, what the School of Lu-Wang absorbed from the School of Chinese Chan limited in absorbing of thinking mode. From the point of view of characteristic of concrete thought, the School of Lu-Wang was the succession and development of Confucianism and the School of Cheng-Zhu. In fact, It was independent from system of the School of Chinese Chan.
