This dissertation deals with the topic of Hong Kong TV play series on cultural studies. With the overall frame of "Representation-Image-Ideology", the dissertation offers an analysis and interpretation of the symbol of binary modes of characters, the image of existing circumstances and the vision of Hong Kong in Hong Kong TV play series from the end of 1970s.
