| The etiquette is the kernel of the civilization of Zhou Dynasty. The existence of Zhouli 周礼(rites) is impersonal in the era of The Book of Songs. The civilization of Li 礼 (rites) in the Zhou Dynasty is groundwork on the base of which The Book of Songs had been written. At the same time, the Zhouli 周礼 (rites) particularly is embodied by some Lidian 礼 maw (Li ceremonies)usually performed in nobilitis such as worship, pilgrimage, tributes, visit, banquet, shoot, weddings, funeralsmilitary, hunting and so on. Li ceremonies is external form abstracted from the systems such as patriarchal clan system, feudalism, land system, education system. The Li ceremonies can be a important way of defining and maintaining the hierarchical order even the means of adjusting social relationship. The Book of Zhouli classifies these Li ceremonies as sacrificial rites, obsequies rites, military rites, guests rites, Jia rites.As a work of literature in the civilization of Li 礼(rites) in the Zhou Dynasty , The Book of Songs can provides some reliable history materials. The Book of Songs and the rites can be explained interpenetratively. The Book of Songs involves not only the details records about Li institutions of the Zhou Dynasty but also some songs were performed as movement in some Lidian 礼典(Li ceremonies) because of the the relation between the The Book of Songs and the rites.Accordingly, the dissertation focus on the research of relations between The Book of Songs and the civilization of Li 礼(rites) in the Zhou Dynasty, namely, the relations between The Book of Songs and these Li ceremonies as sacrificial rites, obsequies rites, military rites, guests rites, Jia rites. The research can be generalize to the two aspects. Firstly, the exploration of the rites by the virtue of The Book of Songs and other historical document. Secondly, the explanation of The Book of Songs on the base of the civilization of Li 礼(rites) in the Zhou Dynasty. |
