Jiao Ran Poetry Style

Shishi, which was written in Da-li and Zhen-yuan years of Tang dynasty, is an important poetics composing, It has profound theories and complete system, But, till now, less recognition and research were focused on it. This manuscript was based on the background of development of the Chinese poetics, the poem' s inditement of Md-Tang dynasty, and the key period of the poetics theory' s change as well, It was established in the text of Shishi, Combined macroscopical research with microcosmic consideration, and try to definite concepts, hackle skeleton, carry through a full-scale research of Shishi.The first chapter: Jiao-ran' s life and thoughts. Hackling and summarizing the stories and literary intercourses of Jiao-ran' s life, Making the social background and thought origin clear of Jiao-ran' s poetics theories, Researching the complexion of coming down of Shishi and Jiao-ran' s other poetics composing are the main contents of this chapter.The second chapter: the text frame and system info of Shishi. The main contents of this chapter is hackling the frame of shishi in form and content, the main content is focused on building system info. The thought compendium of Shishi can be generalized as "Zhen-yu-xing-qing, Shang-yu-zuo-yong" , It includes four aspect: Method of writing poems with the creed of "Poems have four deeps" , Method of commenting on poems with the creed of "Poems have five cases" , Style theory with the creed of "Nineteen word of discerning style" , Viewpoint of poem' s history with the kernel as " Fu-gu-tong-bian" . Thus, the system info of Shishi was constituted.The third chapter: Artistic conception theory. Artistic conception theory of Chinese poem was brought and finalized the design during Tangdynasty, Wang Chang-ling gave it the inchoation, Jiao-ran was a connecting link between the preceding and the following with much creativity. Jiao-ran' s dissertation relate to each aspect of artistic conception theory: Selecting artistic conception and the condition and method of it, Mulriple significations of artistic conception, etc. These dissertations had much elicitation to the artistic conception theory of Shi Kong-tu and Yan~yu.The forth chapter: Comment on poems with five cases and Jiao-ran' s viewpoint of Tangpoems. It is the pitch of Jiao-ran' s commentary on poems. He selected more than 500 poems written from Han and Wei dynasty to Tang dynasty, and commented on them with five cases, And his poetics opinion, advocating poem style of Han and Wei dynasty and protesting transformation as well, was incarnated.The fifth chapter: Commentary on writers and works of Shishi. There are some paragraphs in Shishi commenting on one writer or works wholly, these paragraphs have trenchant viewpoint, and their point of view are novel, so, they are the essential content of Jiao-ran' s commentary on poems. Such as the content relating to Xie Ling-yun, Poems of Qi and Liang dynasty, Chen Zi-ang, Shen & Song, Poets of Da-li Years, etc. is very brilliant. In this chapter, Jiao-ran' s poetics viewpoint was partly revealed by analyzing these argumentums.The sixth chapter: Shishi' s influence in history of poetics. Shishi was written by Jiao-ran during Da-li and Zhen-yuan years of Tang dynasty, and the transformation of Tang poems was gestated just during Da-li and Zhen-yuan years, so, It was Shishi which affected the transformation directly. Shishi has far-reaching effect to poem' s inditement and poetics theory of Late-Tangand Songdynasty. In this chapter, Shishi' s far-reaching effect in poetics history was expatiated in two aspects: model of poem' s inditement and poetics theory.Epilogue: Shishi' s success and failure. Shishi written by Jiao-ran was established in Da-li and Zhen-yuan years when the transformation of Tang poems was gestated, It brought forward many original academic notions, It has important effect to poem' s inditement and poetics theory of Late-Tang, so, We should give its status in poetics history a felicitous estimate.
