Mongolian Language Vocabulary Study

The study on Mongolian history and its law of development cannot be divided from studying its dialect, especially cannot be divided from comprehensive and comparative study on its dialect and colloquial dialect. In the past, although the scholars have been studying on Horchin colloquial from all aspects, until now the achievements in its research is mainly phenomena description.The paper based on abundant field investigation materials and documents materials, assimilating formal research achievements, applying synchronic comparison and diachronic comparison, and integrating social history and culture background, penetrates into Horchin dialect vocabularies.The paper is divided into six chapters.In the first chapter is also introduction. We mainly introduce the study general situation and tendency on Horchin dialect, and introduce the academic value practical significance the study on Horchin dialect vocabularies, then introduce materials origin, investigation base and some important views.In the second chapter, we discuss the basic vocabularies traits of Horchin dialect, namely with abundant agriculture vocabularies, vocabularies variability and inter vocabularies variability.In the third chapter, we analyze Horchin vocabularies from socialhistory and culture view; discuss the relation in the detail between Horchin vocabularies and agriculture culture, and Horchin dialect place names containing abundant society and culture content. Dialect is a language phenomenon, and also society and culture phenomenon. Horchin dialect vocabularies are with heterogeneous traits. The animal husbandry culture transformation to agriculture culture is its main reasons.In the forth chapter, we make use of the secret of Mongolian history, Hua-yi-yi-yu, Zhi-yuan-yi-yu and Mongolian dialects to do textual research on ancient word and phrases in Horchin dialect. The research shows document materials are close relative to Horchin dialects. In the fifth chapter, we discuss the loanwords in Horchin dialect in the detail; Horchin dialect is loaned from Man-language, Chinese, and Tibet language, especially Chinese loanwords. Horchin dialect is deeply influenced with Chinese, plenty of basic vocabularies in Horchin dialect loaned from Chinese change Horchin dialect vocabulary system and the meaning of Horchin dialect, but loanwords are mainly noun, verb and adjective are mainly Horchin dialect, Horchin dialect verb and adjective competed with Chinese verb and adjective. This tells us loanwords of a language are often culture noun, verb and adjective words have stubborn resistion. In the sixth chapter, we simply summarize our research achievement andintroduce our results.The paper applies synchronic comparison and diachronic comparison,quantitative analysis, sociololiguist method to overly study Horchindialect. We produce some new views on dialect vocabularies, theillustration of culture words, the place name research, textual researchon ancient word, and loanwords.
