Using the files in the First Achieves of Chinese History, such as the Manchu recorded memorials in the military confidential, the translation of Yongzheng times Manchu memorials, the collection of Orchun ethnic group'memorials in Manchu and Chinese language in Qing dynasty etc. the author gives a comprehensive and systematic study on the Hulunbeier Eight Hushuu'history in Qing Yongzheng and Qianlong era. Hulunbeier Eight Hushuu is the Suolun Eight Hushuu and Xinbarag Eight Hushu. The thesis has four chapters as follow.Chapter one, the ancient times ethnic group's history on Hulunbeier area.Chapter two, the Suolun Eight Hushuu'founding. The author considers that the Qing dynasty had selected and stationed the soldiers in Buthaa is the first step of the founding process. Then gives a detail about the resettlement of the Hulunbeier soldiers and the Suolun Eight Hshuu, especially discusses the hull process, the number of Eight Hushuu's officials'soldier, their titles and their ethnic groups etc.. The conclusion is:that not only the Suolun, Daguur, Barag and Orchun, but also the Manchu was including in the Suolun Eight Hushu. The Eight Hushuu' people were watched by the Munches. The author also researches the nomadic boundary of the Eight Hushuu, and the effort of Qing dynasty to farming and its reason for failure.Chapter three, the Xinbarag Eight Hushuu'founding. The event which was the Khalkha Barag fled to Russia is the reason why the Qing dynasty had moved these Barag to Hulunbeier. The author gives the fled numbers which were almost one thousand. The moving process also suffered a setback, but Qing dynasty moved these people in twelve years at last. There were2983families had moved to there, but the Khalkha who had repatriated from Russia were not including in this number. The question about Barag people's silver redemption, rejection from Jasag Taiji, nomadic boundary of Xinbarag, and the preparation about zuoling are also researched in this chapter.Chapter four, the Suolun, Barag, Daguur people'situation after they had moved. It is focused on the problem about the soldiers'reducing of this Eight Hushuu'. Had made several modify, Qing dynasty had determined the reducing decide at last. It shows the cautious attitude of the Qing dynasty on this issue. The author gives several cases to show the Xinbarag'situation after they had moved.The author made a comprehensive and systematic research on Hulunbeier Eight Hushuu's history at Qing Yongzheng Qianlong era. Found for the first time the title, the soldiers' number, the vice officials'ethnic groups and other composition of Suolun Eight Hushuu. For the first time to propose that to select soldiers from Buthaa was the beginning of garrisoning soldiers in Hulunbeier, to studied that the Hulunbeier Suolun Eight Hshuu was arranged in three Hushuu on above, then systematically studied the effort of Qing dynasty to farming and its reason for failure.
