The Third Generation Of Chinese Oil Painters Research

Since the20th century, in the process of development of Chinese oil painting over the past one hundred years, there emerged one generation of talented artists after another, who had made outstanding contribution in promoting the development of oil painting art in China. The3rd generation of Chinese oil painters, engaged in the art under the circumstances of New China, started with their learning of oil painting origination from the Soviet Union and followed the socialist art ideas of realism, have created and followed the socialist art ideas of realism, have created and created a number of oil painting works with comprehensive social influence to reflect revolutionary history and the construction of socialist during the50's to60's, which laid a significant position for them in the history of China contemporary art. Based on combing Chinese oil painting development, this article discusses the common social ideals and cultural and aesthetic styles among the3rd generation oil painters, and analyzes and summarizes the different tendencies and aesthetic features of artistic creation of their representatives. This article probes into the significance of the artistic achievements of the3rd generation of Chinese oil painters to the future of Chinese oil painting with summarizing their art achievements.
