Soon after the Ming Empire was founded, the news communication had been a soft power of conquering, which was intensively applied and intended to subdue the minorities in the northeastern China and remaining resisting Mongolian forces. At the early years of Hongwu, the efforts such as establishing postal service, restoring the culture, education and communication were carried out. At the same time, re-establishing the order of the news communication in Korea was also conducted. Ascertaining the news policy and communication hierarchy is of the primary communication content of the early age of the Ming dynasty. The eastern border of the communication in essence was the geological border of the Ming Empire. The central government of the Ming Empire continuously carried out the news communication and information output since the inception to the middle stage of the Ming dynasty and through the communication practice, the reconcilation of the minorities in the northeastern border with the central government was enhanced. The turmoil of the northeastern border since the ending years of the Yuan dynamsty was ended and stablity was restored, which can be obviously ascribed to the efforts of the news communication policy and practice conducted by the Ming Empire. In Korean pennisula, after the Li family replaced the Wang family as the supreme governor, treating the Ming Empire as suzerain was established as the national policy, the exchanges including the politics, culture and news communication with the Ming court were actively carried out. The Korean government input huge efforts on the collecting and feedback of the politics information of the Ming court, which was tof the Korean government primary task. The Korean envoys shuttled the two capitals several times a year and brought the politics news of the Ming court back to Korea. Besides the intensive exchange of the politics news information, the ardour for the Chinese culture also made the Korean to conduct huge efforts in the communication aspect and endeavor to participate in the core of the Chinese culture. This kind of endeavor and recognition was recorded in the Korean historical materials in details and in constract, there is very few in the Chinese ones.During the expansion of the Ming Empire into the northeastern Asia, the war with Korea in the Wanli years and the rise-up of Manchurian are the events of having significant impact on the later history development, in which the news communication played a vital role.During the war with Korea in the Wanli years, the information preparation before the war, the news information control during the war, the handling of the public relation during the negotiation and the probing the information exchanges between Korea and Japan all had the direct impact on the policy adjustment and millitary arrangement of the Ming court, which were the key factors of determining the war. With the rise-up of the Manchurian, the communication atmosphere after the Hongzhi years became intense. Since the Wanli years, the political situation in the northeast was in turmoils, which led to the chaos of communcation in the northeast. Although the Ming court always strengthened the control of the military news information, the series of military failures proved that there were serious loopholes in the news communication system in the Ming Empire. During the unification of the northeast, the news communication system played a major and important role. However, it became a threat to the national security at the ending years of the Ming Empire. Although the Ming Empire and Korea both input huge efforts, the collapse of the news communication in the northeast was inevitable because of the military failure. This also led to that after the founding of the Qing dynasty, the policy on the communcation in the northeastern Asia was thoroughly altered, which laid the foundation for the tragedy of the northeastern Asia in the modern age.
