The Research Of The Northern Song Ethnic Relation Thoughts

In the time of Song, Liao, Xia, Jin dynasties, the development of ancient Chinese minorities had entered a new historical period. During this period, Liao, Xia, Jin and other minority regimes made great developments in politic, economy, culture, ideology and so on. As the trend of integration of Han regime and ethnic minority regimes was growing, the Northern Song dynasty was facing unparalleled challenges. In order to answer gradually serious ethnic conflicts, inner ruling group of the Northern Song Dynasty carried out a series of thoughts and explorations in theory about ethnic minorities issues on how to treat ethnic minorities, how to handle relations with the minority regimes and how to resist ethnic minorities'intrusion, and then formed ethnic relation thoughts. And their thoughts not only had a great impact on the development of ethnic relations at that time, but also occupied an extremely important position in the Chinese ethnic relation thoughts'history. Comprehensive combing and systemic researching the ethnic relation thoughts in this period not only has significant academic value, but also has strongly realistic meanings. Based on the previous studies, this paper makes full use of historical literature, uses the science theory and method of history, ethnology, sociology and other disciplines, and then does a comprehensive, systematic and thorough research on the Northern Song ethnic relation thoughts. This paper clarifies the development route of the Northern Song ethnic relation thoughts, and explores the specific contents of the Northern Song ethnic relation thoughts.The paper consists of introduction, three parts and eight chapters. And the introduction part introduces the ethnic relation thoughts of research overview, definition, theoretical framework and present research status, and makes some specific instructions of this paper's significance, research ideas, and research methods. Finally, it points out the study's emphases, difficulties and inadequacies of the paper.Part one:it divides into three chapters, respectively elaborates Song Taizu, Song Taizong, Song Zhenzong, Zhang Ji, Wang Yucheng, Tian Xi, Li Fang, Zhu Taifu, Zhang Qixian and Qian Ruoshui's ethnic relation thoughts. And it makes out of a primary exploration on ideological confrontation about reservation or revocation of Lingzhou in inner ruling group of the Northern Song Dynasty, and the prevention of invasion of barbarians by means of trade in the beginning of Song. Part two:it has three chapters. It separately in-depth discusses the ethnic relation thoughts' concrete content, development and evolution, impact and value of the times of Song Renzong, Song Shenzong, Wang Anshi, Si Maguang, Fan Zhongyan, Fu Bi, Ou Yangxiu, Wang Shao, Sun Jue and so on. Moreover, it combs and refines schools of ethnic relation thoughts formed in the time from Song Renzong to Song Shenzong in the period of Song Renzong, Song Yingzong, and Song Shenzong.Part three:it has two chapters. It focuses on the ethnic relation thoughts of Gao Taihou, Song Zhezong, Song Weizong, Su Zhe and An Yaochen in the period of Song Zhezong, Song Weizong and Song Qinzong. And then it analyzes and expounds the big discussion about whether to return Lanzhou and other places to Xi Xia in the time of Song Zhezong.
