| Purpose:To be useful for functional recovery and follow-up treatment for fracture patients; to reduce the pain and swelling after surgery and reset-fixed operation; to promote the wound healing; to avoid the joint deformity and dysfunction due to fracture; to reduce the adverse effects for life and work according to the clinical observation of aid effect of Juegu point external application with herbal formula for fracture; which is certain meaningful for fracture teatment with herb and clinical application of Juegu point.Method:Observe whether the pain from fracture disappear or not and when the pain disappear; observe the fracture healing level by contrasting X-ray result before and after treatment; observe the aid clinical efficacy of Juegu point external application with herbal formula for fracture by evaluating the situation of pain and swelling before and after treatment for fracture patient. Method:The 90 cases were divided into three groups as Juegu point external application by herbal formula with 30 cases(Group 1), Sanyinjiao point external application by herbal formula with 30 cases(Group 2) and Juegu point massage with 30 cases (Group 3). Use external application and massage to cure corresponding group for two months. Then study and analyse the different indexes. Result:1. The clinical efficacy of Juegu point external application for fractureThe research devide 90 cases into three groups as Juegu point external application by herbal formula with 30 cases(Group 1), Sanyinjiao point external application by herbal formula with 30 cases(Group 2) and Juegu point massage with 30 cases (Group 3). There were no difference between three groups in gender, age, size, type of fracture, degree of pain, swelling and X-ray result before treatment, method of reset-fixed operation.According to the clinical symptoms and signs, the therapy of Juegu point external application with herbal fomula has significant clinical result for fracture patient, the total efficient reach 93.33%.The average number of days of pain disappear of Group 1 is shorter than that of Group 2 and Group 3, which had statistical significance (P<0.05). The therapy of Juegu point external application with herbal fomula has better effect than others in reducing the pain from fracture.The average number of days of swelling disappear of Group 1 is shorter than that of Group 2 and Group 3, which had statistical significance (P<0.05) The therapy of Juegu point external application with herbal fomula has better effect than others in eliminating the swelling from fracture.The score of X-ray of Group 1 is higher than that of Group 2 and Group 3, which had statistical significance (P<0.05). The therapy of Juegu point external application with herbal fomula has better effect than others in improving the fracture healing level.Among the 30 cases from Group 1, there were no significant difference about vital signs between before and after treatment, and there were no occurrence of pruritus or skin allergies or other harmful matters. Therefore, the therapy is security, simple, conveniet and no side-effect, also had no injury for human body.2. The effect of promoting the fracture healing by Juegu pointBetween Group 1 and Group 2, the average number of days of pain and swelling disappear of Group 1 is shorter than that of Group 2, which had statistical significance (P<0.05); the score of X-ray of Group 1 is higher than that of Group 2, which had statistical signif icance(P<0.05), according to the clinical observation of aid effect of Juegu point external application with herbal formula for fracture patient after surgery and reset-fixed operation.Therefore, in the case of the same situation before treatment, the same herbal formula and the same external application method, the therapy of Juegu point external application with herbal formula is better than Sanyinjiao point in reducing pain and swelling and improving X-ray score for fracture patient after surgery and reset-fixed operation. That is to say, the therapy is worth with promotion in clinic.3. The effect of promoting the fracture healing by herbal formulaThe herbal formula composition:Buguzhi(15 gram), Gusuibu(15 gram), Guizhi (15 gram), Ruxiang(10 gram), Moyao(10 gram). Mix the above herbs into powder, then add water to them till forming the paste appearance. Use for external application.Between Group 1 and Group 3, the average number of days of pain and swelling disappear of Group 1 is shorter than that of Group 3, which had statistical significance (P<0.05); the score of X-ray of Group 1 is higher than that of Group 3, which had statistical signif icance(P<0.05), according to the clinical observation of aid effect of Juegu point external application with herbal formula for fracture patient after surgery and reset-fixed operation.Therefore, in the case of the same situation before treatment, the same herbal formula and the same external application method, the therapy of Juegu point external application with herbal formula is better than massage in reducing pain and swelling and improving X-ray score for fracture patient after surgery and reset-fixed operation. That is to say, the herbal formula is worth with promotion in clinic.4. The research of the relationship between the occurance of fracture and the age, sex, body type of patient and the type of fractureAmong the 90 cases, the occurance of fracture is related with age but not related with sex and body type. That is to say, the old people is easier to be happen. The main types of fracture include closed fracture, complete fracture, smashed fracture, longbone-backbone fracture and unstable fracture. The reset operation and the fixation are the common treatment. Conclusion:1. According to the clinical symptoms and signs, the therapy of Juegu point external application with herbal fomula has significant clinical result for fracture patient, is better than Sanyinjiao point and massage; the total efficient reach 93.33%.2. Both Juegu point and the herbal formula can promote the fracture healing; which is worth with promotion in clinic.3. The therapy of Juegu point external application with herbal fomula is security, simple, conveniet and no side-effect, also had no injury for human body.
