| Jin Kui Yao Lue Lun Zhu is an annotation book of Jin Kui Yao Lue, Which was written by Xu Bin in Qin dynasty. This book is useful for our study on Jin Kui,but it has not been paid enough attention to by generations. In older to reveal it's scholastic value, seven items were studied, such as author's life story, how many works written by Xu Bin, the editions of Jin Kui Yao Lue Lun Zhu, the methods and content of annotation, scholastic attainments, the influence to the descendents etc. It is inferred: Xu Bin's family is well educated. As the Ming dynasty's death, he became to research our traditional medicine. Jin Kui Yao Lue Lun Zhu is one of his major work. The main editions of this work are Kang Xi editions. Yet there are so many questions in these editions. Compared Jin Kui Yao Lue Lun Zhu with Jin Kui Yao Lue's editions printed in Ming dynasty, it is regarded that the original edition used by Xu Bin probably is Xu Rong's edition, and Yu's edition is also been used as the major reference. Yet, according to the study, Xu Bin's work changes the original text too much, so this work can't be used as a Jin Kui edition. The content of annotation includes words, phrases, terms, etc. The academic attainments of his annotation are his methods and his main scholarly treatise and scholarly attitude.Jin Kui Yao Lue Lun Zhu influenced the descendents in large degree. Abroad,Danbo Yuanjian, a Japanese scholar quoted many annotations in his work Jin Kui Yao Lue Fang Lun Ji Yi. Inland, the scholarships afterwards quoted even more. Yi Zong Jin Jian, a textbook compiled by the later Qing government, sets a high value on this work and give it too much emphasis. As a word, Xu Bin's contribution to Jin Kui, is equal to Cheng Wuji's contribution to Shanghan, which is another work created by Zhang Zhongjing. In sum, we can get some valuable experiences from this work. Certainly, errors can't be avoided in it, but one flaw cannot obscure the splendor of the jade. |
