| Pulmonary fibrosis (PF) is a kind of disease that is regarded a series of suffusive,effusion,inflitration and fibrosis as its chief pathological changes. It is shown by the modern medicine research that both TNF- α and TGF- β are the most important cytokines in the course of PF that play significant roles during inflammation and fibrosis in PF. FN and LN are glycoprotein components in cell ectoplasm. They have important effect on promoting over deposition of ECM that is a symbol of PF.Hirude nipponica whitman(HNW-Shuizhi) is often used as a kind of promoting blood circulation drug in clinic. Its chief components are Hirudin,Heparin,Hementerin and so on. According to the modern pharmacology, Hirudin is the strongest specific inhibitor of thrombin found so far. It inhibits the occurrence and development of fibrosis by controling thrombin. Some of researches showed that HNW can be anti-LF(Liver Fibrosis). In our study, as an eliminating pathological factor of collaterals(net in Chinese), which is believed by the ancestors, the mechanism of PF in rats of HNW is discussed based on disease of collaterals in theory of TCM. From whole experiment to changing of organic pathology in part, from changing of biochemistry to expression of gene /protein , analyzing of mechanism of HNW is done from different lays, and observing of the whole course of PF and intervention of HNW is given on different time points. The experimental research includes five parts as given below:1.
