Part one: 24-hour Blood Pressure and Sleep Apnea SyndromeEpidemiologic studies have shown that the prevalence of arterial hypertension is elevated in the patients with Sleep Apnea Syndrome (SAS). SAS may be an independent risk factor in the development of high BP. However, some studies addressing this problem didn't considered the confounding factors of age and obesity. Another, most hypertension related to SAS are refractory, there is little effectiveness of antihypertensive drugs on, and need CPAP treatment. To study the influence of sleep apnea syndrome on 24-hour BP, We used 24-hour ABPM and PSG simultaneously, and analysis 106 patients who received no antihypertensive medicine or discontinue treatment 14 days prior to the visit. The subjects were classified into normah mild to moderate SAS and severe SAS. We analysis the relationship between SAS and hypertension using correlation and covariant analysis. We also analysis antihypertensive therapy effect on the patients with hypertension and the hypertensive patients with SAS after 2 to 4 weeks antihypertensive treatment. We also compare the 24h ABPM in 6 patients before and after CPAP treatment. There is difference in daytime BP between groups using covariant analysis selected for age and BMI. Compared to the normal, daytime BP increase and BP nigh/day quotients decrease in the severe SAS patients (p<0.01, p<0.01). Correlation analysis showed that AHI was related to systolic and diastolic daytime BP and BP day-night/day ratios; Compare to the normal, hypertension was twice as prevalent in subjects with mild to moderate SAS and three times in severe SAS. In severe SAS, the prevalence of non-dipper and the prevalence of non-dipper and daytime hypertension increase. After 2 to 4 weeks antihypertensive treatment, 24h average BP and nighttime BP decreased in the hypertensive patients, and decreased mildly in hypertensive patients...
